    I still think your old deputy might have fucked that one up. Now that you're on the best one on the net -- no need to fear. ;) On that note, I've gotten an item from that seller, but to be safe went ahead and black listed him.

    @Adol/wheela

    I thought figuring out a fake Sapphire took a very close look. Am I missing something?

    No,if it is still factory sealed,it is extremely easy: check the stripline.
    The original one has it at honeybee logo height level.
    Fake has it at least 1,5 cm upper,at bottom of "sapphire word logo"

    If opened,you need closer look,check

    Well, It certainly looks like the apparently unreleased Victor modem.

    http://blogs.yahoo.co.jp/jpsflavor/17639421.html

    So we already had 08102839 and now 08102568 turns up. Odd that they have serial numbers so far apart for something unreleased, wouldn't you say?

    Gotcha on the Sapphire thing. I think the game sucks, so I don't have to worry. :)

    I've only had a few raw deals on YJ. I actually had a guy lose his ID, but finished up the deal... then got a new ID and did some more deals.

    Quite. Could have been a large pilot scheme then, or the serials weren't sequential (or similar). Otherwise where are they all? Maybe Victor loaned them and were fastidious is seeking their return (albeit not quite careful enough)

    Edit..bit more on it here too.

    I've also never seen that Bomberman Saturn before although it just seems to be your bog standard white Saturn with Saturn Bomberman included and a card slip over the original box. Not worth over 40'000 yen if you ask me. At least the Sonic one has Sonic's silhouette on the drive lid.

    Same -- I saw the Bomberman Saturn but passed once I realized it was just a stock white Saturn.

    What a dick. If he wanted more he could've easily set the starting bid higher. Other option would be he didn't want to sell it to a foreigner which would make him a total fuckwit.

    Damn, that's sad. I can't say I'm surprised, though... it seemed too good to be true!!
