They may be a bit pricy, but I don't think they are fakes actually. Just like johnny said, they are still rather common for gold carts.

Mmhh don't know, weren't those carts always about 22k each? Still OK though, if you consider that this way you don't have to travel to Tokyo for them, I agree.^^

Seriously, you do seem to have a lot of rare carts for sale and I think the fact that you are willing to discuss this is very brave of you.

I still don't get how anyone can part with so much cash without really knowing what they're buying?

Also, apart from the gold coloured case, what other differences are there between the Yam Yam cart in Mandrake and a regular edition that isn't gold plated? If it's just the case, there isn't much of an argument to say that someone (must have...) copied the one in Mandrake somehow... Are there ANY variations on the label/sticker between the two variants?

 

Nothing at all different content/sticker-wise, but there's this handdrawed YamYam artwork coming with Mandarake's original game. IIRC in the beginning, the price version came also with some telephone cards.

 

most of famicom and sfamicom hibahind have no differences in gameplay

the one i remember that are different form the normal game are gradius archimendes, zelda charumera and the two gold golf disk

 

I was told Zelda no Densetsu Charumera version isn't different too, just the label is.

Too,i confirm differences in Magical Drop 2, and there are some different teams in Slam Dunk Shueisha Limited SFC.

 

Only the seal on the backside of the game box is different. It shows the Charumera logo instead of the Famicom Disk character. That's all. Unbelievabe waste of money. :lol:

 

Not being an expert on such matters - I can only guess that hi-res scans from three or four people who own the cartridges in question, checked for similarities (might) determine if your cartridges are real, or not?

Where did you get the number from if I might ask? 300 for sure? Gold catridge has 8 copies in the world. Never saw a figure for the green one.
