Hi everybody ! Just received this, unfortunately it is missing the autographed artwork sorry for the blurry pic, it's camera's fault
great find but.. ..how many exist? ..how much is it worth? ..how did you get it? ..how much did you pay for?
it's the one offered on ebay, previously on sale at mandarake how much is worth? for me is priceless, I'm a collector not a seller it should be the only one produced since ti was the prize for a contest
i don't think there's only one. even the 650'000JNY nekketsu dodge ball gold cart has its 15 pcs. and that is to be known as the most expensive of all those goldies. how about that auction link?
Anyone have a link to the auction? I couldn't find it. @Tatsujin YamYam is even more rare than Nekketsu Dodge Ball. While you can see the Dodgeball cart rather "often" (weird to use that word in connection with a game of that only 15 copies exist) in the common game shops (2x Super Potato, Retro Friends, Mandarake, ...), YamYam only surfaced at Mandarake Nakano to date (AFAIK) and did not even have a price-tag on it.
wow..cool, didn't know. but why noone can post this particular ebay auction? or name the price since a nekketsu costs locally already up to 650'000JNY, i won't know what that had costed over ebay.com.
This one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140274337800 Before was $3000,he changed it to $5000, lol If the one you're talking about is the same one that Thailand guy was selling on Ebay,i discussed with him,got pics, and it's clearly a FAKE. So far there is only ONE (Mandarake explained it clearly, with a long story) Yam Yam Gold Version in existence, there was 4 telephone cards with, art sketches,etc..coming with it. So far this one has NO art sketches, NO telephone cards, the "winning letter" is bent a strange way compared to the one that was in Mandarake, and finally...Yam Yam GOLD STILL is in Mandarake. He showed me pics of other gold carts, but strangely NONE of them could be other than retail ones, gold paint brushed. He had DBZ 1&2 on Famicom, but strangely there was no triangle sticker on the box for neither of them. He didn't got Kunio Kun tournament Special SFC,STRANGELY.Maybe because for ONCE,the sticker is NOT the same than the retail game, and then difficult to fake (meaning you mean MORE than gold painting your game)? To me,it's completely fake, but believe what you want Unless there is more than 1,and in that case we'll need a good explanation/Story,as well as why Mandarake lied. For Nekketsu Dodgeball Gold Cart, some talked about 8 pcs, other 15 pcs..i'm happy to have mine
Maybe a photo with higher resolution could clear that up. But if it was a fake, how could the seller have reconstructed the instruction manual? Wasn't it impossible if there is only Mandarake as the only owner worldwide or are there scans in existence on the web? I took a photo of the SFC games at Mandarake and YamYam is on the picture. Can't tell if the box looks any different though as jhonny's picture is too blurry. But the letter was not folded and there was also a sketching behind the game, seems to be the one yamyam came with.
The manual is EXACTLY the same than the 500Y retail release. For the "winning" letter,it is easy to take a pic of this "black writings on white paper",and reproduce it with a japanese word software. The sketching, along with the telephone cards,is what MAKE this very rare, and looks to be one & only one in existence. Mandarake already told they don't have the telephone cards, but they do have the sketchings. Without them, for me,it's no more than a gold painted retail released Yam Yam.Same manual, same box, same sticker, same game inside the cart.
I was really hoping in this reply form adol to clear things up so, I was neither 100% sure about it being the real thing but if it is right this pretty much answer anything, making mine a nice fake but there's a couple of things not clear, why not trying to fake also kinnikuman, he offered also a binary land wich has a sticker on the box the letter is creased http://www.mandarake.co.jp/information/2005/02/11/nkn01/index.html and mine seems to be creased like the original one, pretty nice work can you post pics of them (dbz with triangle)? if anyone is still interested i could try taking better pictures edit: in which mandarake is yam yam? still nakano?
Yes at Nakano, Mandarake don´t want to sell theirs very rare game like Yam Yam or Vampire Killer Gold (both have only one copie). The Yam Yam on Ebay is just a fake from Thailand...
Didn't HK_Fun mention something about YamYam being being gone for a couple of months (in the VK Gold thread)? I'd like to hear something new about VK gold as well. Jamtex got us this rumor and now we are lost in a lack of knowledge as nobody seems to be able to go there anymore I'd be interested in more yamyam pictures though if its not too much effort ^_^
Yes,it was still there on the end of October (the thailand guy proposed it on early octobner),because it is NOT FOR SALE. They never gave a price, for the moment they do NOT want to sell it. So it's a fake,or mandarake is lying about the fact there is only one. Anyway,i wouldn't jeopardize my money on a game of such rarity magnitude, especially with Thailand. Did you buy yours from this thailand guy? He sent me this pic: Here is a pic of the Yam Yam in Mandarake: To me,the letter is is "bent" on a way that your is not. I'll try to find pics of the 2 DBZ,but there was 1 triangle sticker on each box, like "jump'90" writings,etc..
But how do you know this about Vampire Killer gold cassette? Do you mean just one is found at the moment, or one in total?
yes, it is from the thai guy so now yam yam from nakano is disappeared? possibly sold? no one here from nakano area?
