Not so much a crash, but... While playing Okami for PS2, I was saving my game (with about 80% of the game completed) when the power suddenly flickered. It was enough to reset my PS2, and when I finally got back to the title screen, I found my save had been corrupted. Had to start all over again. It was like God was laughing at me.
Well, Baldurs Gate 2 had a "rest bug" which annoyed the hell out of me. So I thought to myself "fuck it !" , and uninstalled it and its expansion, even though I had updated it to the newest patch, so if you ask me about bugs it looks like I have had a few of them. Why is it so hard to iron out those bugs ? cause this bug could happen any where when you tried to rest. And the bug made you exit the game, and gave you some funky error. So before you rested you should basically save before resting, in Pools of Darkness from the old SSI box, there is a bug which I have experienced a few times in the game. When you are in the Giant Hill Steading you can at times get a "missing object" bug that will freeze your game, or you can happen to get an encounter of Tanetal (or is it Gothmenes ? ) but here comes the kicker there are more than one boss (Tanetal or Gothmenes) so you die in battle against them. But I have not experienced a load of bugs like that. But the "boss bug" is one I still fondly remember from Pools Of Darkness.
When I deleted my World Of Warcraft and KOTOR II Files and a load of other games completely. Fuck that was annoying and couldn't get my discs back for weeks. I know it was my fault really, but fuck it was frustrating, especially KOTOR II.
I can't say it upset me but has the eternal list of bugs in Call of Duty 3 been mentioned here yet? They go on forever but many of them are actually quite cool challenges in their own right. I'm talking about multiplayer online maps btw/ Great times...
IIDX songs not loading. I can change the multiplier and the sudden+ but the games just don't load sometimes, so you're stuck. Usually lose your scores too, which sucks.
I was just playing Yoshi's story, when i came to the second page,i only could choose level 2-1,i just unlockeed every gundamn level, now this happens:noooo: so pissed:banghead:
I played Aqua Teen Hunger Force Zombie Ninja Pro Am Golf game for the PS2 (yes it's a very long title, and it doesn't have zombies and ninjas in it). On the first level I was fighting Carl as Master Shake, when all of a sudden the floor disappeared and I fell down forever and ever. This other story isn't really a bug but just super annoying... in Mario Kart 64. Why is it that slow characters (DK, Bowser, Wario) will go super slow when you play as them, but when they are AI controlled they are completely faster than me and can turn on a freaking dime! This one time I was riding along side Yoshi (I was Toad). I saw a banana peel show up, he shot it, but then I saw another banana peel show up (meaning he had another lined up from another powerup box he ran through), but that's not all. Shortly after the second one, we didn't go through any of the power ups and I saw this bastard use a god-damn mushroom boost power. I mean where the heck did he get that? He was beside me for the whole time and we didn't go through any power ups. The AI cheats. They can chuck bananas through walls where I cannot. Once they are in the lead it is as if they are untouchable and don't hit any obstacle and go super fast. They also recover a lot quicker after you hit them and catch up to you after 1-2 seconds later. this is why I love the game.
I got stuck walking/jumping upstairs in Adams Air Force Base in Fallout3 (+Broken Steel) the other day and had to reset the Xbox. Also, the game has crashed on me several ocassions - once in the middle of a really epic fight in that same location, and once near Lincoln memorial whilst killing slavers. (God, I LOVE killing slavers). Also, when I exit Megaton through the gate instead of fast-travelling, the framerate takes a serious dive for a few minutes, for no reason. That game is SO awesome, yet SO filled with horrible bugs...
Fallout 3 has given me many headaches with game destroying bugs for instance at the end of the operation anchorage expansion when you get out of the simulation and go to the armory door terminal to unlock it..the terminal says "Unlocked" but the door doesnt budge, this bug took me about 3 hours to figure out i needed to clear the 360's cache file to proceed. Then theres the one where i was in project purity(at the end of the game) i killed the enclave general and the two grunts listened to the doc waffle on through the intercom and then when its time for me to go in and input the code all sarah lyons says is " lets make the area secure" nothing more....i restarted this mission over and over thinking i missed something to no avail... i had to unistall broken steel for it to finally let me finish the quest, lazy coding but damn fine game. classic love hate relationship lol
THIS JUST HAPPENED. I've never beaten Castlevania. I'm pretty sure my cart is broken, it's locked up before and it's the only cart my NES has ever done that to.
The other day I was playin Modern Warfare 2 on the PC, I was in the end after you fall from "somewhere" (I don't want to spoil it), I was extremely anxious to see what was going to happen next, two seconds later, "Out of memory error" I was like WTF, I have 4 GB of RAM, it's unfair! I had to put the game on the lowest settings and then it stopped bitching about the memory.
Dragon Age: Origin...getting stuck trying to move a character. It's like I'm stuck in a non-existing ankle high hole or invisible object. Takes several seconds to fix it (unless it's bad, then it's load save...whoops, piss poor autosave system and I'm not one to micromanage saving all the time so I may have just a lot of work done in a quest).
Yeah, the amount of bugs in Fallout 3 is scary, kind of frustrating for such a great game. You should check the fallout wiki (http://fallout.wikia.com), they have an endless list of bugs and solutions for many of them. In my experience, the only truly big bug I couldn't solve in Fallout 3 was in the Mothership Zeta expansion. In a moment you have to enter a room behind two locked doors. The little girl that helped you to get there tells you to wait while she enters through the ventilation ducts and unlocks the doors for you. Well, she never does it. After a ton of tries, I finally realized that the only way I had to pass through those doors was using the console to activate the no-clipping mode or to unlock the doors.
The worst one for me on Fallout 3 was the stupid robot glitch in Big Town (if you choose the science route to help them out). I have the game for both 360 and PC. Fortunately for PC, you could use the console to type in 4 (!!) commands to get them to appear. With the 360, you either had to wait for a patch (and use a save prior to the event in Big Town), or hope you have a save to load that will get you back to a point to allow you to choose another option.
Fallout 3 would have to be my favorite game since zelda oot but man were there some bugs apart from getting stuck EVERYWHERE the only major glitch I remember from my 1st playthrough was in the queen ants nest under greyditch and I poked my head around the corner fired a few shots then ducked for cover as soon as I did the queen teleported right next to me causing me to jump 8 feet in the air and it killed me so I tried again and this time as soon as I walked in the room it dissapeared and then kept appearing in different spots so I ran back to the entrance it vanished again and got alot louder i turned around thinking it was behind me but no it was stuck in the wall with only its anttennae sticking out needless to say I had to restart again I killed it the 3rd time around annoying but really cool to see. When I was playing Morrowind on the PC I was hoarding and selling stuff to the skooma theif guy so i dropped my important/key items in a store that i looted after a while i figured i should do some quests but to my horror It was all gone so i couldnt even deliver the letter i was supposed to to complete the First quest thus i grew frustrated and disinterested and I haven't played it since. My Final Fantasy 8 problem was my own fault I was playing through the game fine all day saving the whole time and I was in deling towards the end of the disk and decided to turn in for the night Pause Cut Jump to the next morning load up the game and when it loaded I was in my seed uniform NOOOOOOOOO my whole day gone. How you might add well it turns out since that save all i had been doing was waithing for the first time the load bar comes up(when opening the memory card) and then exiting and not actually choosing a file to save at all. Jurassic Park Snes Is awesome but I agree it neede a save feature as it is pretty hard IMHO
What the heck is that supposed to mean? :crying: Well, I had an interesting encounter with, on the Super Mario World, walls. The ones that are made out of stone, and not level to the rest. Start climbing, jump, and climb, and somewhere on the road, you may actually go through this pieve of stone, and sink. No possibility to get out. I know this is a small thing, but can be annoying :banghead:
Pitfall the Mayan adventure on the MD. Game would freeze on level nine and the screen would fill with numbers. Not sure if it was a broken cart or a common bug, was two young to afford a second copy.
