There is definitely more than one still. ^_~ You can even collect them still sealed (just like the picture).
Is it weird that when i fall asleep, I have dreams of walking into goodwill and finding a development 64dd? lol
Actually it's not normal. You should be dreaming of finding a LOT of unreleased games, prototypes, etc to go with special hardware. I have this reoccurring dream of a game shop in a shopping mall somewhere it had lots of classic video games and some oddities, the one that I kept wanting but never had the $$$ was a pink colored T-shaped cart for Atari 2600, an adult themed game that takes advantage of Interactor system and Activator system for the ultimate experience. If only I knew where the store actually is...
Its kinda a long story, but I once had the opportunity to buy a mint in box special yellow pokemon edition Gameboy Light for $40....
Missed New Japanese Fatal Frame for PS2 for $400. Now it's $800... ((( Want it to my FF collection. Have new FF2 FF3 FF4.
It'll drop as soon as people realize that paying the same amount for a video game (that was mass produced and available quite frequently) that you can a good motorcycle makes no sense.
In about 1997, a local game shop was selling Sega Mega-CD Games really cheap, including 'Snatcher'. I didn't know what the game was at the time and left it, think it was only about £10. I have since played the game and really enjoyed it, now i cannot get a copy for a good price. It usually sells on eBay around the £100 mark!
That strange pinball in an arcade cabinet thing? Wow, don't see many of those! I feel your pain. I loved The Ninja Warriors, and hadn't seen a cab in years. I found a guy who had one, but he didn't want to sell. Then one day, he messaged me saying he was getting another triple monitor game and NW had to go - it was mine for £250! Unfortunately, it was a few hundred miles away, HUGE, heavy and I couldn't get transport for it... let alone where I'd put it! I already had two arcade machines in the shop I worked in, so unfortunately I had to decline.
A sanyo Try 3do system. The rarest 3do system, it was only released in japan, and i missed out on being able to pick one up on ebay, boxed and in mint condition, for about £110. I was broke, and I didn't have my own credit card back then, so that was way too much. Oh well, I did end up getting a panasonic system for a cheap price though.
Top for me is missing a Super Grafx Power Console on Japan Yahoo many years ago. I also passed on a candy cabinet for sale locally for $250. ^_^_^ By missing do you mean it sold cheaply?
I've never witnessed any ultra-rare games in my life, but that doesn't stop me from having dumb moments. Like never getting Legend of Mana when it was new, for cheap. Because I kept waiting for some stupid PSX game I can't remember the title for. Ditto for Tales of Destiny.
Nothing special, but i still regret not picking up a Virtual Boy. My local video game store threw out about 30 of them for ~35€ each. I really should have bought some.
A massive collection of super nintendo all under 50Euros and I didn't manage to come home on time to bid it.
just some "10million model" on auction.yahoo for really cheap price, and the first development unit DTL-H500 / DTL-H505 (Target BOX) still on the japanese website. damn... :dejection:
I had gotten tired of going to the trouble to pre-order games only to arrive at the store and see that they always had plenty of extra copies. So I didn't pre-order Panzer Dragoon Saga. I completely freaked out and panicked when release day came and no one within 100 miles had gotten any copies and Sega was saying that they didn't expect to ship any more. I called game shops in other states, looked up several online retailers on the Internet, and complained to all of my friends. Two weeks later, I finally got a copy. Then another arrived in the mail...and another...then two more, then my friend who lived 200 miles away had found 4 copies at Toys R Us and bought them all and brought them to me. I made the mistake of thinking that because Sega sent a second shipment that the game wasn't rare after all. My friend kept one, and I kept one, and we returned the rest... Really wish I would have just held on to them. I bought a brand new copy of Earthbound for $50 when Toys R Us discounted it. I played the game for about 10 minutes and decided I didn't like it because the simple graphics and text-based battles were too much of a departure from Final Fantasy for my liking. I traded the game in for $50 and thought I was really lucky to have gotten my money back. I'm kicking myself for not holding on to it.
Today I missed out on two sealed copies of Twilight Princess for the gamecube for £10 each. I didn't have the cash to buy them so asked if they could be held for me whilst I ran to the cash machine and when I came back from the cash machine the lady had sold them :livid:
Next time you should hide the items you want in a really weird where no one will look for them while you get money! I do that with some records when I don't have enough money and I'm afraid they could sell in the meantime: Place them somewhere in the "all under $5 - Motown" section... problem solved! lol
