Yeah I thought of that idea at first but then I thought they would be safer if I asked them to but the games to one side for me.... know better for next time lol
I passed up a copy of Star Fox Super Weekend around 1999 or so. I already owned Star Fox, and at the time the SNES was still recent enough that I wasn't thinking about it from a collectors perspective. I was also a dumb teenager. My best friends mother worked for Phillips in the 90s and she stole a CD-I from their R&D. I knew he had a CD-i when we were in high school but I was never able to get over to his house to play it. It was only just recently he told me how he came to own it. I have to wonder if it was part of a dev kit, and maybe different from the retail systems. It has since been burned (yes, literally burned).
a Sega CDX that was for sale for R350 about 9 years ago,I spoted it posted on multiple forums, and no one purchased it,never thought of buying it for myself.
Sega Nomad, new in box on clearance sale for $30. it was like that for about a month, I had considered getting one but spent money on other stuff instead.
at a car boot, a man was selling alsorts of SNES RPGS and Capcom games; soulblazer, earthbound, and demons crest is all i can remember at £5 each. Me being six years old at the, I passed up the opportunity to spend the £20 pocket money i had earned on these. At age 7 i started collecting. Age 10 I became a earthbound superfan. Now almost im an adult, I cant tell you how much it pains me that i missed those deals.. gonna get that earthbound cart one day...
I missed an incredible BIN on ebay last night. It was for a Sega lot. I got to the page and no bids and the auction was still live. I had to go use the bathroom and I came back downstairs and the auction had ended. Next time I guess I should just pee my pants.
Ditto and the same goes for when the Sega Saturn was slashed down to $60 at the local Toys R' Us. I could have gotten at least four of them but chose to get an N64 and PlayStation instead. What a fool I was!
