    AND OBNOXIOUS!!!

It was too darn long, and the screaming and moaning of the blue people were deeply upsetting.

Am I alone in this impression?:eek:h:

I think that the effects were overrated too, people were saying that the 3D effect in the movie was fucking midblowing, but after watching the movie in 3D, it was good, but not that impressive, after a while you get used to it and it's the same as watching a 2D movie.

The main 3D effects were the overlaying of stuff like when they did the video logs, and it doesn't get more serious than that iirc.

I can say the movie SUCKS big time, huge waste of time.

I thought the entire movie was underwhelming. The acting was mediocre and the plot was razor-thin.

It wasn't terrible, but I think it was marketed more towards showing off 3D effects than producing a decent story. I'm just glad I didn't pay $9 to see it.

I thought the movie actually Sucked.

Did you hear me snore when we went to see it???

Because I'm pretty sure I fell asleep for a while, and was woken up by the bl00 woman screaming like a dying wookie "mhhhhhhhhoaaaaaaaaaa"

and the 3D effect... my eyes hurt for hours after I got home.... HOURS

It was worse than watching Lady Gaga and Amy Whinehouse scissor sistering for a while...

I think what we are seeing is that a lot of people have forgotten that 3D films have always looked this good. Even the old Captain EO and Terminator 3D attractions at amusement parks were doing the exact same thing 20-30 years ago. In fact Star Tours was supposed to be 3D, but I am sure it was a puke-fest during the testing stages

I mentioned this is in earlier post, but if it makes you sick then you have to be willing to try every brand of 3D projection until you find one that does not make you sick. Your mainstream choices are: IMAX 3D, RealD, Dolby 3D and Xpand. I have tried them all with my girlfriend and the only one that does not make her sick for feature length films is Xpand.

Here is an article on the differences:

The problem is that in our shitty 4rth world country, we only have ONE brand of 3D cinema. And I think it's the dolby one, or in its defect, whichever of the others is the cheapest one.

    Definitely not Imax.

Sorry to hear that. I am in Los Angeles and have my pick of the various 3D projection brands (without having to travel to the ends of the earth).

    Giant smurfs.

Does anybody else find the 3d glasses absolutely thrash their eyes. I cant sit through an entire 3d film without having to take off the specs and have a moment of closed eye reflection (also known as a little nap)

yeah, they're a pain in the ass...

BUT. Have you considered the benefits for the human race of these wonderful artifacts when Hollywood gives us THIS JEWEL OF CINEMATOGRAPHY ????

BEHOLD MY FRIENDS!!! 3D cinema might yet be avenged

There is a (sceptical but true) chain of though that says the only reason cinemas have started to show 3d films is in an effort to combat piracy, nothing to do with enhancing the viewing experience. My opinion is that 3d films are shite due to the painful eyes situation (k-panggg are you a glasses wearer?). Are there any members here, who don't wear glasses (I wear mine just for reading), that find 3d films really hurt their eyes?
