Unrelated...I wish I still drew stuff. I'm actually a pretty good artist, I just find it stressful for some reason. It's wierd.

 

I do abstract things that have no meaning but drawn as if they do.

That's why I like Games like Rez. Looks like I could design something along those lines.

There's really no good reason for a lad who's almost 18 to be drawing this. He should be reading playboy, stealing beers, getting high and all that other teenage shit. Hell, I don't think playboy is particularly healthy, and the beer and drugs definitely aren't, but if right now he's staying home and drawing anthro foxes giving each other piggy backs with love hearts above their heads. I consider myself pretty open-minded, but this ain't right.

What's wrong with that? It's a pretty innocent picture. He explained the relationship between those two as well. Brother and sister or maybe something else Not entirely sure. Kyan (which one it is I don't know) is a girl.

He worked pretty hard on that one too. He colored it for at least 3 days before he was totally happy with it.

If that's what he wants to draw what's the Harm in it? I've encoraged him to move on to Humans to no sucess. But, Like I said that's what he wants to draw then I see no harm. He does have a life outside this. He plays Panio and Guitar and can play almost any song by Ear. He's a gamer as well (No More Heroes and Okami are his faves right now) He Goes to Hockey Games,
He's well adjusted.

Yeah this is far more sick than a kid drawing Animals Woman needs to die in a fire.

I mean, seriously. Take a long hard look at that picture. It looks like a 13 year old girl drew it. Maybe for his sake its just a phase and he'll look at that later with his head bent down in shame, but I agree with Alchy.

If it isn't immediately apparent when you look at it, I don't really know how to explain. It's one of those gut instincts.

Drawing shit like that is not well-adjusted behaviour for someone who's on the verge of being an adult male.

I don't mean to be a dick but he's not really all that good at it. Not yet, anyway. Like Casual says, that kind of drawing would be alright from a 13-year-old girl, but for a lad of his age it's nothing special, and more than that, it's odd.

That said, whatever floats his boat - so long as he's not hurting anyone there's no harm in it, but most people look at furries and laugh, so it might just exacerbate his isolation rather than help it.
