Might as well add ebook price fixing to the that list. Even people who didn't purchase an Apple product must pay more to read a book which isn't published by Apple.

 

Actually the MPMan was the first MP3 player as a quick glance at Wikipedia will tell you. I don't think anyone would claim that Apple invented the smartphone, they've been around since the 90s when Apple was busy trying not to die; the Nokia Communicator from 1996 even had Internet connectivity.

Flash needs to die. As much as I love Flash as a tool for creating animation, it is, and always has been, extremely inefficient, and buggy as hell. I know how buggy it is because I've used it for years and learned how squeeze every bit of visual juice out of it. It's very powerful, but also very flawed.

 

Ah am so glad someone see's sense to that! I had an argument with a guy showing me logic in an apple store once (thats DAW software for those not in the know)
He told me you can be so creative with music on a mac unlike a PC. I thought what planet is this guy on? True Logic is not supported on PC's anymore but to be fair I think its the worst of the 3 main DAW's anyway. I take protools and Cubase anyday of the week. I was conteplating a mac at this point.. but his brainwashed behaviour put me off buying a mac. I mean he even went on about art too. I have a good friend who is amazing with art gets paid a lot too. He uses photoshop on a PC fine.. I know programmers who are creative with a PC. I think the whole advertisment/marketing should be against the law, in what mac have done with falsifying the creative market.

Dont get me wrong its good to promote your product nintendo used to promote their systems way back without saying how bad they probably thought their sega competition was, eg, sega had those horrible adverts sega do what nintendont! what utter rubbish!

I for one am going to carry on making my music on a PC, it works so why now change?

Yes, Yes YESSSS!!! Flash needs to DIE. I can never understand how an RPG written in flash can have SNES grade graphics, take up 80MB on the hard drive but chokes unless you have a 2GHZ Pentium and 1GB of ram, RPGMaker 2003 is bad in both departments but gets almost PS1 grade for half the power. At least it isn't as bad as Authorware, which can't scale resolutions (on my 17 inch monitor most of these games are viewable on a PSP sized portion of the screen)
Flash also is nagging me to update even though my OS can't run the latest version.

 

Some people are just suck ups. Thats all I have to say.

Although, that's not to say that I won't buy an Ipod touch 'cause I do want one(I know. Shocking ain't it?).

 

I think what is really bad about apple is just their approach on business. They over price underpowered machines and their good machines are 2.2k at least without any upgrades. Plus they support the claims that they innovate, but as mentioned earlier in tyhis thread apple didn't do all that much. They have just managed to get technological ducks to obsess over their products and those that are tech savy have created cults surrounding apple.

But the absolute worst is America's apple addiction. Not only did samsung lose one of the most retarded cases of all time but in japan samsung won! Clearly the American jury was more biased towards samsung, chances are that jury even owned at least one apple product. It just seems weird to me that America is so stuck to apple. And I do agree, the majority of apple users are brainwashed on what they use for computers. Maybe times will change, but for now we have to deal with all the apple crap.

 

Whilst that was true in the old days, it's not now... with a but. The but being that if you want to work professionally in the industry, dealing cross format can be a pain in the arse. Yes, Logic is one example - and a lot of studios use Logic instead of going down the expensive Pro Tools route.

Nuendo is actually much nicer than Cubase, but it's much more expensive, too.

I believed one place samsung lost on was regarding the shape of the device its self. Aparantly you can patent black rounded rectangles now. (but don't quote me on that, I didn't follow the case)

Personally if Google decides to drop the patent bomb on Apple I think Apple are up shit creek. Google has all of motorola's patents.

 

That's right! They did indeed sue and win for that if I'm not mistaken. But I think the jury was biased honestly, if you were following the case apple challenged a ruling in samsung's favor and they came back and let apple win.

Honestly I have never seen such terrible control of the market, MS was bad in the early 90's but this sets a new record. Google should go fuck them over, they could probably win if bias isn't involved. If you can patent rectangles and squares motorola has to be able to sue for something with some insane number involved.

 

Then it should be phased out, not like this.

 

Microsoft never were that bad. They were called anti competitive in 1998, but in 1997 bailed out their biggest competitor. Complete bullshit in my mind.

Looks like a desparate attempt to bash Apple's design to me. The Atelier TV, L60 Sound System and LE1 speaker don't look similar at all - just from a certain angle and even then... no. The Braun T1000 radio and Pocket Radio look a bit similar, but WOW - someone created a silver box for a device before Apple. This definitely changed the way I see the world.

 

That PowerMac is one ugly piece of shit, don't know why anyone'd be proud of "inventing" that design.

Maybe it wasn't a mistake and the OP found out that Apple breeds humans and raises them to mindless idiots with the help of their employees. All you need for that is a computer with web access and a YouTube account - everything else will evolve on its own ^^
