Are you buying the PS4 and Xbox One?

Microsoft is really fond of original Xbox ugliness and popularity

 

Xbox One looks better than the 360 in my opinion. And it is not all that expensive in a mid to high end entertainment system. The PS4 just sticks out like a sore thumb.

It is expensive for its crappy hardware. PS4 not only much more powerful but costs less.

 

The specs are about the same, minus the RAM. The cost difference is in the Kinect. The performance difference is in the OS allocations.

 

You are very wrong. RAM performance difference is pretty enormous.
GPU difference is even larger. Xbox One has 12 compute units, while PS4 has 18, 4 of them souped up for compute work even further. Xbone can process 8 compute queues (or 16, I do not remember) while PS4 64.

 

Nether, they've both pissed me off. PS3 screwing its customers last launch with crippled features and consoles that break if you actually use them for gaming. Microsoft for the same reasons, plus for showing just how out of touch they are and for forgetting countries other than the US exist. They can keep that pile of shit.

I may possibly pick up a PS4 much much further down the line. Just sick to death of hardware companies telling me how I should be gaming, thats for me to fucking decide thank you. I dont want to post my every moment online or on a fucking wall, which by the way only serves to advertise games further with "look, your friend is so% far through assassins creed 50" plastered all over your screen.

The fact i would now have to pay my ISP AND one of these companies to use my internet. Fuck that and fuck them, I'll stick to my much more powerful PC and free online gaming.

I've definitely turned into a cynical gamer I'm afraid after all this.

I've even had to stop playing Betafield 4 because EA and DICE have apparently forgotten you're supposed to release a game AFTER you've finished developing it. Fucking morons...

I love my ps4 - War Thunder was worth getting a ps4 for alone!

 

Got to play with a PS4 controller for a little while yesterday and it's rather nice! I think I'll get one eventually once there's a good library of games and the price has dropped.
