Renagade was probably one of the last games (if not the last) i played on my Master System, probably on late 1993 / early 1994. It was a very good game on the system and i'm surprised to find out it was the best home port the game ever had.
Not sure you did it before, but if i can ask i like to see the ports of Terra Diver / Soukyugurentai. Anyway, great work Mark, love watching your videos!
Thanks for the comment, Jackhead. I'd love to do Sokyugurentai but there's only one port, isn't there and that's on the Saturn. Well, technically there are two as the Saturn has two releases with the second fixing some bugs. Was the game on the PlayStation? If so I could cover it as the minimum requirements for Battle of the Ports is to have 3 versions of the game. The original then two posts for the "battle" part of the show.
Well the STV and the Saturn are the same as they are basically the same hardware. I can imagin the PlayStation version being total ass though. Okay, I'll add it to the list. It won't make this week's show as that has already been filmed but maybe before the end of October for sure.
Wiki say there was a re-release on 2003 for Playstation. My research after Radiant Silvergun result that the the saturn version is better as the ST-V. Maybe for Terra Diver / Soukyugurentai its the same. But we will see! There was also some mobile releases. Im happy awaiting it, awesome game, really like the style Thanks!
Oh yes, I had this on my old phone. I still have it but it won't run now as the phone was locked down. I can tell you it was crap from what I remember. Hopefully I have some old footage of it somewhere as finding old Japanese phone games is near impossible.
Oh man, I just don't want to go there. I'll have fanboys on all sides pissed off about something cheers man. The side by side sections are tough to time sometimes.
Last week the PlayStation fanboys were upset that Soukyugurentai wasn't as good as the saturn port. Well, this week I think they'll be happy
It's time to head back to the Mid 80's with what I think is the best animated laser disc game ever, Road Blaster!
