Convert Retail PS3 to TEST PS3!!

This is great, makes me want to actually buy a PS3

 

I agree, I kinda want one now.

 

Sod piracy, I just want to be able to play all region Blu-Ray/DVD movies.

 

I refuse to pay $600 for a console then $110 for a game.

$600 for a console and then $7 for a game overnight is a much better alternative.

 

I just want ps2-psx region free games in my ps3. I have a region A and B ps3 (japanese and pal)

^ Yes but give it time and some may figure out how to install the full debug firmware on a retail PS3.

 

So all this mod does is turn your retail PS3 into a ersatz debug PS3 with all the use of a chocolate kettle.

 

Exactly, it's a step in the right direction and you KNOW someone will figure it out.

Also if this does happen I can see an increasing drop in the price of a real Test PS3.

 

Oh yes lol, although there will always be something nicer about owning the genuine article. People spend money on silly stickers and funny little colours etc. Me included

 

Does anyone know if the debug (TEST) PS3s can copy/play PS1 and/or PS2 games from the HDD? I heard that it can run PS3 games from the HDD, is this true also?

 

Dont know about the ps1 an ps2 game but I do know you can play PS3 games from the hdd.

 

Do you know, I really am hoping that one day to get all my PS1 titles backed up to HDD. It would take me a month of Sundays though. I have a good hundred and fifty titles I would think. Not as many as others I am sure. Just hate the thought of them getting scratched. (Sorry, slightly (totally) off topic)
