From everything i know from my friend and what read on here. Nothing without knowing what your doing and without the right tools.
so whats that "everything" that you know that u can do on it with the latest debug firmware. this thread is kinda unstructured for me, its half asking for advice, half general stuff about the ps3..thats why i am asking here for specific answers to the my last post on page 5
yeah I've been browsing different forums and googled, but other than threads about people asking for help and then discussions, about how this debug firmware is useless to regular people which kind of makes me think how dumb people can be since those threads are intended for the main purpose of discussing the debug firmware itself, its features etc ... instead i find no specific information anywhere, even if i ask here which i find strange
the debug firmware on retail units doesn't do anything. You'd have to buy a real PS3 Test to run preview/review code.
Hopefully someone will figure out how to install the full debug firmware on a retail ps3,but that still does not mean it would act as a fully functional Test PS3,only time will tell.
The only things that do work(that I know of) is installing pkg files from memstick(only retail though) and the swap-X/O-setting(enjoyed that on my jap machine )
It wont work on any recent firmware revisions, beside it does not really set your console to debug, it just installs the debug vsh on a retail console, so it's pretty much useless.
That wouldn't get you anywhere. The result would be the same as with the HDD swap trick to intall a debug FW on a retail PS3. You can even do LESS than on legit retail FW in that situation.
ehh Yes, but You can't swap firmware with 3.10 debug. This metod don't work. Firs i have to downgrade my ps3 with infectus can i do it? and next, install 3.10 Debug with infectus
Around fw 2.00-2.10 downgrade with infectus stopped working... and even if you were on a lower fw that it did still work on you can only downgrade if you took a dump of your nand on the earlier fw that you wanted to restore/downgrade to.
my friend have got 40GB PS3 updated to 2.15 DEBUG He want update this retail, how he can do it without 8002F029 ERROR Currently he have got 2.15 debug, and he want 3.20 Debug
