Hmmm, I remember SOME people saying Nintendo wouldnt go with Guns. Yeah, Im really looking forward to Lost Planet. Mechs in FPSs have always been something I've wanted.
Its very cool! I found it abit hard to get on with at the start though because the controls are abit weird. The aiming/moving is kinda weird. Also the game seems abit hard overall.
Just a quick question, does anyone happen to have e3 videos from the old e3? or knows where i can download them?
I believe I have all 3 on my hard disk. But they're about 500-700mb each, so I'd have to burn to dvd n ship them. EDIT, damnit looks like i deleted them a while back. I'll try n remember where I got them from, i think it was kikizo. Right, well heres the nintendo http://uk.media.cube.ign.com/articles/615/615274/vids_1.html I'll keep searching for the other 2...
Hey madhatter... To quote engadget "The first chance we got with the Wii was for a golfing game (the shortest line we found, go fig) and as soon as we got our hands on the Wiimote we knew it was something special. We slipped the wrist lanyard on so we didn't fling the remote across the room, "
It's about time a game was hard. I m sick of games that most people can play in a matter of hours. Remember the Alamo?ehr.. Contra at least. Super Mario Bros.3 on the NES , and even harder games that we had to learn by heart and actually master to get somewhere. Hints, tutorials, frequent save points etc are fine for some adventure games, but I miss the hardcore non-stop fear of the eventual "Game Over"
Evangelion: I downloaded (by mistake) the Nintendo conference from E3 2005 on the link you posted yesterday.
Might I interest you in the new PSP Metal Gear I posted earlier? Once you get Game Over, you have to restart the whole game.
Indeed, I read about it. To be honest I kinda suck at modern Metal Gear Solid games, lacking the Ps2 experience of the latest verions of the game. So it's obviously pointed to the skilled/polished players that know their stuff. I would be interested however to play it, but my fear is that the game is rather short in length and this is a technic to make it last longer. In phantasy star online, (DC and Cube version, XBOX too i assume) the same thing. Over and Over again - I hated it at first, but now I find myself playing with friends six hours straight sessions. But let's face it, back in the day games were clearly unfair. Mortal Kombat 2 comes to mind, where you got beaten up in seconds even at the lowest difficulty level. It feels great having finished a hard game, as you can rub it in the face of the young ones and claim that games nowadays are for girls :Girl:
Its true though. Due process "Wimpification" games are getting easier and easier to beat. Go fight against Borgan in the Sega CD version of Lunar 2 and then fight the PS1 version to see what I mean. He's downright nasty in the Sega CD version and can set you in a controller-throwing-sailor-mouth-cursing-conniption-fit. Yeah, some games nowadays are hard, and some games from back in the day might have been easy, but I think it mainly sticks to RPGs, IMO.
I do warn you this is nasty - http://www.watch.impress.co.jp/game/docs/20060511/wii05.htm Blue Wii remote. Dear oh dear, baby blue - not a wise choice. The black on the other hand looks amazing! EDIT - classic controller in context. http://www.watch.impress.co.jp/game/docs/20060511/wii08.htm Looks quite nice and at least it it not connected to the box system itself. EDIT (again) Western attempt at a dating game! http://www.watch.impress.co.jp/game/docs/20060511/kona16.htm I think one of the vital elements to a dating game is an attractive cast, someone needs to tell the people who made this effort!
Im all for baby blue but thats just too much! I dont know if i like the controller connected to the wand... where i would sit in my room now i would have to have the wand on my lap and that might be annoying. They should just make it wireless.
Gross! she looks like a crack whore:-( And paulo, yeah having a long plastic thingy in the middle of your legs when your buddies enter the room can be little weird, hehe...

Man that looks like something a guy did with illustrator at 5:00AM last night. They could make a 3D menu with rendered versions of both consoles and cartridges/cases. Something like SonicJam:thumbsup:
I fail to see how it's possible to play n64 games with the "classic" controller. Its more suited for GameCube games. It would be really cool to see "ipod" finished versions of the original NES, SNES and N64 controllers, in solid black/white color (imagine the wii controller coloring on a nicely finished NES/SNES/N64 controller, with all the gloss and glory, and every button being the same colour, just as on the Wii controller)
