I use Payperdrop, £4.99 for up to 31kg within the UK, they use DHL couriers. I'd be interested in one of those Spice gamecubes too, but I'm not going to bid.

    :eek:h:

Edit: Sadly its broken. Almost sounds like he busted it without using a step down converter. :noooo:

For those interested even at the high price, the seller says something like: "when turning it on all you hear is a buzzing noise and see some dots on the screen. its probably just a wrong setting in the console, but i dont speak japanese" (Yeah right..)

Buzzing noise and dots on the screen........ ouch! More than just a wrong setting. Sounds more like the motherboard is knackered. If it were 110v PSU with 220v input and he switched it on it would just kill the PSU.

Agreed - that would probably just smite the power supply, so it wouldn't even be powering up. Hmm. If it's getting as far as the PSX logo, before going to b/w dots, I'm wondering if the problem is with the tuner/input to the tuner. From memory (it's not with me right now), the PSX goes to displaying whatevers being fed into the RF input after the PSX logo. I can't remember what it does if the channels haven't been setup - I would have thought that it would blank the screen, rather than displaying noise. I'd like to ask the seller what happens if he tries to insert a game into the drive slot - if the b/w dots remain, then there probably is something kaput.

Either way the starting price is about $370, which is not far from what a known to be working 160Gb unit would normally go for. IMO, it's a bit pricey for an unit of unknown status.

I just reread the auction. I overred one line. He actually DOES say it goes up the PSX logo, then it goes blank with the dots on the screen and the sound is buzzing.

Also a personal auction, for those who didnt get a RETRO Edge issue back then selling one of my spares:

    Very expensive Xbox debug (USA)

Possibly the most expensive Xbox debug I have seen for a long time listed on eBay @ BIN $800.00, the starting price is a mere <cough!> $300.00. However, the good news is that it looks like a sealed unit, so might be worth it to someone.

Seller states "I have read up about these and they are worth a lot!
If it goes for less than $800 you are getting a deal!"
or what you, me and other AG members would call "current value" lol.
