And do what exactly? This was offsite anyway. Nothing to do with us at all.

But as a community we can try and best advise him, like it happened with the other guy who came to the forum because we was scammed somewhere else, iirc.

OP you should try the Paypal route and have them see the delivery status.
Try and phone them, email won't lead you nowhere.

Btw, that guy is also on RetroCollect under the username Punisher. And guess what, Ocean Commander is in his collection.

    Profile link: http://www.retrocollect.com/Community/Punisher/
    PS2 collection: http://www.retrocollect.com/Members...ion-Photos/2447-Playstation-2-Collection.html
Cross check some of his pictures there and his this post from him: http://assemblergames.com/l/threads/rarest-thing-you-own-thread.13369/page-72#post-871753

Apparently he lives in Bournemouth, accordingly to what he says over RC.
I believe I was once contacted by him as he was interested in my portuguese version of champions world class soccer.

    and oh, what a coincidence!

Yes we can help - however OP wanted us to spam the guy and harass him. That's not going to happen.

Remember the nds_demo scamming Borman incident a few years ago? That was an offsite incident that had nothing to do with us as well so how is this any different?
I read his post and honestly I'm not seeing where he comes off as wanting us to harass the user (I personally think he was asking us to help him in the same way we helped Borman not so much harass the user but to keep their feet to the fire so to speak to do the right thing and raise awareness of the users actions)

I always wonder about paypal/ebay return money policy, what actually keeps buyer from opening a claim to get his money + item, if he doesn't care about his reputation?
    http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/money-back-guarantee.html
Can i write "i've received dvd box without a disk" and hide the disk, take a photo of blank dvd box? How seller can prove that item was shipped with all the components and with correct color without scratches? He can't, if i'd say that seller is a liar and his proofs are fake. Sounds ridiculous, but works perfectly?

You are pretty much exactly right, that's exactly how it works.

Sellers basically rely on the good will of the buyer to not scam them, as paypal make it so easy.

When I used to sell on ebay, I'd say around 20-30% went "missing". Since selling on here, as a gift but still untracked it's like 1%

Basically as a business you need to factor that into your costs, as a private seller you are just rolling the dice.

Fair enough he did ask us to spam the user and that was wrong of him and I was wrong for saying otherwise, and while you've proven me wrong about his original intention, your post didn't negate my first point which is if we could help one of our members with an offsite incident before I don't see why we can't do it here especially when the situation is of a similar nature.

One could do something like that but it'd be ill advised because all the seller really has to do is record themselves on video sending the package and showing that everything's present and as described before the PO packaging and you'd practically win by default (as long as you have undeniable proof that you sent out everything ebay can't rule against you if the buyer says they didn't get something otherwise you can take them to court for theft).

I wonder how often that happens, the seller filming himself packaging the product and posting it. You'd have to film yourself packaging it at the post office. Because if you packaged it at home, filmed it. Then cut to the point where you post it - it won't be good eneough.

Anywhoo, I think all doubt about gooner being a pos scammer f@g can be removed since ElectricCo pretty much proved it with gooner's own photos.

Main reason why I only send tracked...

How many times did people not pay?

I'm getting that far too often and there's really nothing you can do about it. Big deal, the buyer doesn't respond you get credited.

    Because of the quote above.

I'm all for helping members here, but really. There's not much we can do.

I don't suggest people hassle him by PM. He hasn't been on the forums since Wednesday either.

Seems both users are from different countries.

OP has a lot of evidence now, and can contact PayPal and or eBay with proof. So really, there's nothing we can do as staff of the forums. That's my point.

gooner692 is a well known scalper in playstationage, he was banned there cause he kept using infos to create speculation and raise prices. Giving out his name and paypal is a better way to make him panic and give your money back.

The difference is that I didn't ask to spam the guy, and I was also doing everything in my power to make sure that it went as it should. Including talking to Paypal.

I think this is a case where the community can help by sanctioning the questionable actions of one user. Even if this didn't happen here in this site...it could have, since both people are here too. Just because the buyer tried to use a loophole with ebay's horrible feedback system, it doesn't make it right - I woudn't want to lose 150€ after a sale where I provided an item with tracked shipment (and it clearly shows in the pictures the item arrived well). These types of people shouldn't belong in gaming communities as they are toxic. But I say Gooner has to explain first - but I only expect the outcome to be MoBoRoS recieving his cash and an apology from Gooner for acting as a complete twat.

It could have happened to you who is reading this.

Thank you all for discussing my issue guys. I really appreciate this. I didn't mean to ask the community to harrass him. I just wanted some extra pressure from the forum members because i lost 150$ and got my first negative feedback from that guy. Let's hope he will do the good thing and return my money.

If it's of any value, gooner actually logged in today and he's probably seen the messages on his profile page, speaking of which Skandrrr please refrain from threats of psychical violence we're above that, let's be stern with our messages but also sensible.

I don't want to post name/email yet. I like giving second chances to people @Cristiano . Also it would be interesting to share with the people here the picture you sent me.

I wouldn't give second chances to people who take 150€ just like that, but I hope Joe comes here and explains why the hell he would do this. Anyways if he doesn't do the right thing... we'll just have to take this to all retrogaming sites so that no one ever deals with him again. You can change your IP, get a new avatar, change paypal account, ebay account but you can't change your name. Not cool leaving someone with ebay debt just like that. He knew postages takes at least 7-10 working days to arrive in the UK - that's at least 2 - 3 weeks. I even think it's possible for someone to represent MoBoRoS in a UK small court claim, considering it's all EU countries and same online sales rules and costumer protection apply.
