    Yeah...

You can see they really cared for this game.

I still hate how this game is so overlooked.

It's the first time I have a prototype games in my hand.
All the work to dump it is new for me.
with the help of very good guys on this forum I have done.
All my best for all these members.
And we can explore the game now with sound fixed.
Are you readey with me to discover it?

put all your questions here please...

I will continue my game but with 4 characters or 2 ?
Perhaps now the bug with Tia in cave can pass...we will see...

Actually, I'd say that the proto ending is more sad than in the final game. Maybe they wanted to downtone the sadness... (I tried playing along the video with a rom of the final version)
It seems they deleted and changed some of the dialogue, or more specific, about what happened on Doom Island/Maxim Selan stuff.

I suggest finding someone who knows how to read Japanese.

Until then, from what I can see: (please correct if I'm wrong)

    (Eserikto)
(in the final version, Artea says he wants to take Milka to Guy's party. In the proto he talks about something entirely else instead...)

Artea : (says something about himself)(stuff about Doom Island) Also, Maxim and Selan are...

    ---

(in the final version Guy just avoids Hilda's question by saying that everyone's coming to have a party)
    (Tanbel)

Hilda: What happened to Maxim and Selan?
    Guy: ............ .
    Jessy: N-no way.
    Guy: ...... (stuff I can't read)
(Scene fades out. No talk about a party at all)

    ---
    (Bound Kingdom)
(in the final version Dekar just answers right away that Maxim will come to the castle for sure)

Soldier: Do you think Maxim is coming here?
    Dekar: ( ............)
    Soldier: (asks something)
Dekar: No... (stuff I can't read) ...... (Maxim's something) (whatever he is saying he does have alot of silences when he talks here ...)
    Soldier: Is that so?/I see.
Dekar: Maxim (is or does something) (Dekar is going to do something?)
    Soldier: I see!! (stuff I can't read)

    --
    (in Portravia)

They talk much more about Lexis wanting to go to Westland. Also there's a mention of the Excerion (it's broken? Something else is broken or dead? really not sure about this).
And no talk about Lexis going to Guy's party. No mention of a party at all.
Also it seems that the assistent thought Doom Island was going to fall on Portravia??? (Daos says he was gonna drop it on Parcelyte)

    ---

    (in Elcid)

Tia says a line that the other woman says in the final version.

    ---
    In Parcelyte
Aunty says an extra line somewhere?

    ---
Then comes a note about a staffroll and an event (probably the Lufia I stuff)

    ---
After the Lufia I conversation there is a note from Masahide Miyata (the scenario composer and the director of the game).
Don't really understand what it means though, and google translate didn't help much either.
At least there is a date. the text after the date says "Miyata"

    ---

    Story in short:

    - When talking about Maxim, Selan or Doom Island, characters seem to actually acknowledge that Maxim and Selan are dead. They either don't want to talk about it or talk with a lot of "......"s in there lines.

    - Neither Artea, Milka, Lexis or even Guy himself talk about Guy's party at Tanbel.
It seems safe to assume that Guy does not organise a party at Tanbel at all. Maybe in the Portravia scene Guy still talks about wanting to have a party after the battle, but in the ending scene he clearly is not in the mood to talk about a party.

    ---

On another note, Arek thought the Dual Blade would not ring for at least 100 years. (in the final version it says 1000 years)

A hidden debug warp tile, nice find. There could be more nearby. If you use the debug mode to walk around in the water on the opposite side of the bridge (a few steps down from where that warp tile is located) is there another hidden warp tile in the water?

The "placeholder Sinistrals" still make me laugh XD
Anyway, this also shows Daos' room. It also looks more like it did in Lufia I.

I think it's less sad actually when they know what happened.

In the final they all have like full hope they come back, even saying to Jeros that they come back soon... which will never happen.

Can you check what's behind the breakable wall here? In the final version there was a dummied area there (can't interact with the stuff inside there).

Now that the music is working, here's the instructions on how to create a full soundtrack.

With a Pro Action Replay code, you can change the music index for the song that plays on the load save game menu (which you posted a screenshot of directly above this post) to any other song in the game.

    1. When you boot up the game, enter Pro Action Replay code 82DD3Bxx For xx, put in a hex value from 00 to 3F. Start with 00.
    2. Press Start to go past the intro and to the load save screen. Another song will be playing now. (Note that some hex values may be silence. It's possible that 00 is silence, too)
    3. Press the key on the keyboard you assigned to save .spc files
    4. In the directory, the .spc file appears. Rename it to include the hex value you entered for xx in the Pro Action Replay code (example: 00.spc for Pro Action Replay code 82DD3B00)
    5. Delete the Pro Action Replay code, then use Reset in the emulator.
    7. Enter the Pro Action Replay code again, but for xx use the next hex value (01 in this case, since you started at 00) Proceed to the load save game menu again to get the next song.
    8. Repeat this process until you get to hex value 3F
    9. The result should be a folder of files that look likes this

    00.spc
    01.spc
    02.spc
    ...
    3D.spc
    3E.spc
    3F.spc

Each .spc file should be around 64KB in size.

You now have the entire soundtrack :)

Find a sound test or play every single part of the game and dump the spc that way. The only other way would involve hacking.

When you're getting near the end of the soundtrack, it's possible there will be a lot of hex values that are silence.
