If you guys got wii, you can play nes, snes, master system and genesis emulators at full speed and best is that you can play with original old controllers!
wii, ps2, ps3, psp, dreamcast, PC etc... all those systems are good for emulation, but we talk here about retro stuff and not about modern method of emulation
it would definitely be nice if someone made as complete as possible of a link list for flashram patches to specific games by name (though I still wish ED64 supported it). link83 I hope you will update the FW on my ed64 if it gets added also I don't get why people are asking for emus for n64, like are you serious in here?
Hello First of all, thanks for all the work you are doing with the flashcart.I would like to know a final release date (I supose this is the most FAQ).I have many 64 games and I´d like to continue my savegame with everdrive, will be possible to dump the savegame to flashcart?.And finally, will be any other shop, a part from retrogate to buy ED64?
So the Everdrive64 will be released without flashram support and to add this feature later on you would need this programmer cable? :crying: Wouldn't it be better to either have it support flashram prior to selling it or have an onboard usb blaster so people don't have to buy that cable? It seems like you may already have all the needed components on your board anyway. Not that I have any knowledge about this stuff, I just googled for answers and can't figure out on my on if this would be possible at all  Because from my experience people are getting pissed when they need to buy extra hardware to make things run perfectly.
1) i can't guaranted that flashram will be implemented later, i should perform more deep research of flashram. by the way, looks like marshallh also not implement flashram yet my current flashram engine works fine fi i trying to use flashram from os , but games can't write without errors by some reasons 2) if you have an external usb blaster, then you should pay just once and you can update firmware for any of ED carts which you have 3)chinese byte blaster cost even more cheap than onboard. 16usd + free shipping lol who need onboard byte blaster for 30 usd in this case? of course all people want ultimate solution and want it for cheap, but it is real life I did everything I could
Flashram support is not a big deal IF there is hacked version of all flashram games AND if these hacks works? I don't know much about how to hack N64 games. Have to look internet more....
I agree having to buy a Blaster cable to upgrade firmware is a pain, but its the cheapest solution to keep the per unit cost of the ED64 down. People want ED64 to do everything under the sun, but also want it to be cheap. You cannot have it both ways with such a low run product. Every tiny thing added to a product like this normally will raise its price and often by a noticeable amount.
And remeber that NeoCrap is taking US$ 60 for their flasher to update the myth card. They even sell new card with the first Firmware... LOL
No, the ED64 will not be able to dump your savegames since it has no way for you to attach your old carts
Yeah sure! I just don't get someones wants to play Emus on N64, becouse there is much more better ways. Better hardware and you can play with original controllers. If I don't have original hardware to play games, it's very important to me to use original controllers. It don't feel right to use different controller to play old games. You know?
It seems to me that Jet Force Gemini and Zelda MM might be the only ones that were hacked. I haven't seem anything for the others like Paper Mario. Still that is a short list of titles and if FlashRAM is figured out it shouldn't be too terribly hard to get a FW update.
the cable is not the problem is just 13-16 usd, maybe is cause it sounds "difficult" to do, that can change if someone make a quick step by step video tutorial like these one made for neo n64 myth http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hAE1WIy2Uuk&hd=1
