Just looked at this thread a few hours earlier and saw they were in stock so I've ordered one - looks like I just got in in time! I love using this forum as a warning for availability!
right. i have flashram implementation, but it not work in real games by some reasons. if i will fix it in some day, then flashram support will come via firmware update
what is a usb blaster? will you or someone post directions and a parts list if/when you update the ED64's firmware? do you see a firmware upgrade coming out for any reason? from what I can tell it works flawlessly so far? I also wonder if you will add the same kind of OS utils and commands like you have on the everdrive md? plugins, sd formatting, save game manipulation, perhaps built in gameshark codes, etc?
i stayed up until 3 am watching and waiting to get mine he said the next batch should be coming through soon so just keep an eye out for it
i already have a tons of pcb, but need time to assemble them plus my wife was in travel, so all postage work also was on me. but now my wife is back and my friend will help me to build ed64 carts
@Krikzz Might be a bit off topic but: Your carts look like they were factory made (Pick-and-Place Robot, Offsetprint-solder, oven and all that.) When you say you assemble them at home do you have your own fab? Or do you mean you prepare the plastic casings and such? Just curious
Seriously? I do quite some soldering myself but your SMD work really looks fab/robot made. Quite impressive...
SMD isnt all that hard - just takes practice. Its even easier if you can make a stencil, which KRIKzz can as he has the design files for the boards. Solder paste + stencil = professional results that are quite quick. Parts will self align too (within reason) as the solder melts. example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_5lksMvmqQc
would it be possible to have a fully DIY ever drive where we receive all the components but we have to solder ourselves with 110% NO warranty? also i wonder how much it would cost to buy a used liquid solder station from an old PCB manufacture im sure alot of people here in the community would pitch in to get you a liquid solder station
