So that will be included with the next batch, or will I have to get a tool to update the firmware later on? (considering I buy it when a new batch comes out)

Awesome can't wait! Dare I ask if you have an estimate when this update will be released?

Any chance of an option that can load/save controller pak data for games? That's the one thing I miss that my Z64 can do. :)

As ChillyWilly already mentioned for some strange reason most N64 emulators create byte swapped SRAM (.SRA) and FlashRAM (.FLA) saves files, but not the 4K and 16K EEPROM (.EEP) save types

To use the emulator saves on the Everdrive 64 you need to byte swap the save files, this can be performed in almost any hex editor program or ucon64, but there are also standalone programs which can do the same thing like this:-
    http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Wii64SaveSwap
(Once downloaded make sure you right click and extract using WinZip or WinRAR, otherwise the save folder wont be created)

Simply drag and drop your save file onto the "wii64converter" to switch the byte order. The new save file will be inside the "Wii64 Saves" folder. It can switch the save file byte order both ways - emulator to Everdrive 64, and Everdrive 64 to emulator.

I am sure KRIKzz will impliment a menu option to do this on the Everdrive 64 itself, but until then this program should work nicely.

Its also worth noting that many emulators dont create the correct save files to begin with. For instance Zelda Majoras Mask uses FlashRAM and the save file should be 128KB, but Project 64 creates a 96KB save file which likely wont work on the Everdrive 64. Also, Donkey Kong 64 creates a 1.75KB save file on Project 64, but it should be a 2KB (16K EEPROM) save file. In order to use these saves you would need to fix them manually using a hex editor to compare the Everdrive 64 save file against the emulator save file, and then byte swap/pad/remove data until it matches the correct Everdrive 64 save file layout.

I hope flashram support gets finished :), then just need 6105 support for Tooie!

KRIKzz don't know if you said, will 6105 challenge algorithm help 6105 support on ed64?

You mean a way for downloaded controller paks to work somehow from the SD card to the ED64? Or would I still need to do the wonky dexdrive to work (or do controller paks not work at all?)

Fantastic news on the flashsave support. Btw Automobili Lamborghini gives me a "emulator not found : 145" error and tetris 64 (japanese seta version) every version I try just shows corrupt graphics and just crashed. Just a heads up while your working on the version to support flash saves and again thank you for such a fantastic product.

    Great to hear!

If Flashram works it would make ED64 the best N64 copier of all. (Right now the list of unsupported games is quite long because of that. Especially since there are quite a few that had never any patches/cracks released.)

Strictly speaking neither was the Doctor V64. People referred to it as copier nevertheless.
The only real Standalone-Copier I know of was the Z64.

It depends on the V64 bios. Mine can dump N64 carts to the PC.

Couldn't the CD64 do so too?

I think the "Standalone-Copier" part of Den Tarr's post is the important bit - i'm pretty sure only the Z64 could backup games without a PC.
