You may not, but when a customer e-mails me and says its been over 2 months since it shipped and they want their money back and I have no way to track the package it is a problem. It sucks because we used to get a lot of business from Germany, but after having to refund 5 orders to Germany in one month because they never arrived I was done sending stuff there first class.
Actually 88$ for ED64 Board only is even better than RetroGate and I assume he ships from the US which means it will arrive even faster. Sounds like a good deal if you can provide your own CIC and case. I was too lazy to do so and ordered from RetroGate with case and CIC.
I can't seem to keep EverDrives in stock. It seems I am not charging enough. But seriously I charge same price as almost everyone else on EverDrives. Some people ship for free, some ship cheaper than me, but others are more expensive. The German shipping issue was already explained in the previous post.
Yes and we found an aceptable solution Anyway... do you have any inforormation on that rev 2.0 PCB stoneagegamer?
Hi, just to clear some details about upgrading everdrive: 1.- Can i use Quartus Programer v11 SP1 ?? or must i download a older version, if such where can i find it ?? Just found the way to download any version (Of course you had to be registered and logged for download): Even unreleased v11.1 https://www.altera.com/servlets/download3?swcode=WWW-SWD-QPRG-111-PC&l=en v11.0SP1 https://www.altera.com/servlets/download3?swcode=WWW-SWD-QPRG-110SP1-PC&l=en v11.0 https://www.altera.com/servlets/download3?swcode=WWW-SWD-QPRG-110-PC&l=en v10.1 https://www.altera.com/servlets/download3?swcode=WWW-SWD-QPRG-101-PC&l=en v10.0 https://www.altera.com/servlets/download3?swcode=WWW-SWD-QPRG-100-PC&l=en v9.1 SP2 https://www.altera.com/servlets/download3?swcode=WWW-SWD-QPRG-91SP2-PC&l=en v9.1SP1 https://www.altera.com/servlets/download3?swcode=WWW-SWD-QPRG-91SP1-PC&l=en v9.0 https://www.altera.com/servlets/download3?swcode=WWW-SWD-QPRG-90-PC&l=en 2.- ED64 should be plugged into N64 turned on before upgrading ?? Just discovered the video tutorial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=64uI7r7KCzg 3.- Can i use my Win7 64Bit Machine ?? It looks like 64bit win7 is supported by Quartus. I hope that anyone can maybe put a sticky post with details about upgrading firmware, for the rest, keep the good work krikzz. XD
1) i use 11.0_quartus_free_windows.exe + 11.0_programmer_windows.exe. quartus 11 alone don't want to load firmware by some reasons, probably some bug, but together with programmer 11 works fine, more old version of quartus works fine without programmer 2) plug cart into console, connect jtag, turn on power, load firmware 3) yes here is update video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=64uI7r7KCzg
Thanx KRIKzz Many thanx KRIKzz it worked perfectly, I used Altera 9.1 SP2 Programmer alone, into win 7 x64, now im FW:1.15, hehehe, it is really pretty easy i believed that updating FW could be troubleshooting but now i know its pretty simple and funny. BTW many thanx to StoneAgeGamer for using normal philips screws into ED64, you are great too dude !! KRIKzz, many thanx for support StonAgeGamer: Now i want to buy the Super Everdrive but inst available, not even for preorder, hope it gets stock, im pretty excited with this everdrives. Im
Hello krikzz, thank you for the nice little tut, just ordered an usb blaster. One question, if i will solder the jtag connector on the ed64, will it fit in the cartridge? And another question, if the flash will be interrupted the ed64 is bricked? Or just reflash? Thx in advance, thx for your awesome work, love my ed64
pcb with connector will not fit in shell. need to make a modified connector if you want to have soldered one inside of your cart. you can reload firmware, if process will be interrupter
Okay if i can reload, i think its not neccessary to solder. Iam very careful at all. Thank you for quick answer.
Can anybody please tell me an online place I can buy a brand new empty shell from? I'd rather not buy a used game. Many thanks!
It's better to just get a cheap game. Some shops will have sports games that'll sometimes be less than a buck...besides, unless you ordered it installed, you do need to raid the cart for the 6102 anyway.
The only way you are going to get a new shell if if you buy a brand new N64 game, no one makes brand new N64 shells. N64 shells are pretty durable, its not hard to find one like new.
Any news on the support for the game Banjo Tooie. I understand why it is not working but I wondered if any work was being done? Either to crack the game or change the OS/firmware?
Hi everyone, I have a couple of questions about the everdrive 64 (I've got the PAL version) : - Are NTSCs games running on 60 Hz ? - Is there a way to make PAL games running in 60 Hz ? Thanks
-NTSC games runs at the speed of your system, if your system is PAL, then the NTSC games will run at 50hz. -PAL games will run at 60Hz on an NTSC system (US/Japanese N64) only I don't think there is a way to make an N64 run faster, it's not like some sega system who had jumpers to make them run at PAL/NTSC speed... (I actually think only the Snes, and then gamecube etc were capable of running on both speeds)
I got the Everdrive64 from StoneageGamer and have installed the CIC chip but get nothing but a blank screen. I'm wondering if this boots up with any standard N64 console and properly formatted SD card. I worry perhaps I could have broken a trace somewhere when I soldered on the chip.
