everdrive have no own emulator, cart just allow you to use some of existing emulators.
you should set up path to emulator rom in SD card and offset in cart memory where nes rom should be copied. after this everdrive will be abble to use emulator.
all available emulators looks not very good. will be good if some of modern emulators will be ported on n64 once. may be i will take care about it, and may be not only for nes :smashed:

Great to see that this project progresses pretty fast. :)

I'm curious though how you connect your N64 to the LCD screen (the image looks great). Do you use some kind of video converter?

Hi, krikzz. Your work is quite impressive. I'm looking forward to seeing the final specs -and prices- but it seems to me that you'll have my money. Make a nice GUI and this will be the ultimate N64 flashcart.

    REALLY REALLY NICE!!

    This will be awesome :)))

Just a question.. you said you will rebuild snes and genesis everdrives to support fat32. Since snes and genesis games are smaller them n64 games. We will be able to load snes and genesis games in the same speed as we saw on the video ? 2 or 3 seconds ?

SDHC is not cause of speed increase. ED64 has its own dma controller to transfer to dram instead of the using system's CPU to flash. This raises the price quite a bit compared to original EverDrives.

Genesis and SNES would load basically almost instantly with this setup.

So I assume its possible, but are people willing to pay the extra $$$ for it.

Well, it seems to my limited knowledge that it would require buying a second genesis and snes everdrive, so I would assume no.

In the end, even with fat32 the loading time would be the same ?

    KRIKzz,

Looks awesome as always, another board I'll be buying on launch day just like the Super EverDrive :D I see that you have 2 JTAG headers soldered in, are there gonna be 2 chips to flash for firmware updates now, or is the second for the FTDI chip or something?

Hope Dutch organises a group buy when this thing is release. I already have a donor cart to put the thing into.
That is so awesome it plays NES games.
Krikzz as for the CIC chip I believe we have to add this in our selves? If so can we get this from any N64 cart or are there specific games that you need the CIC chip from?

most of n64 carts could be a donor. i will be sell carts with preinstalled cic and without.
probably you should not hope on group order, at least in first few months

Board prices are decided by Igor (KRIKzz). There's a reason the ED64 is going to be more expensive than previous EverDrives. I would assume the difference you see with ED64 is difference you would see with a ED-MD with same type of hardware.
