What part of Stockholm are you from? I used to live in Bergshamra when i studied there. VERY nice place i think, i'd move back there instantly if it were up to me
Hehe, I had (well, still have, my dad lives there) an apartment in Mörbylund (other side of the subway bridge). Now I live in the north Sweden, Umeå, here are two snow-pics two weeks ago:
I took some new photos today  Here you can see the railway station which is located a few miles from my home. The train on the right is my favourite. I just like doubledeckers in every way This is what you see when you exit Hanover Station. It was about 6pm and the christmas market (or whatever you want to call it in english) was filled with people. Turn around and you can see an old and nice building, the Hanover Station. Actually its pretty modern inside with tons of restaurants (including a japanese fast food restaurant called "Tokyo Sushi") and a few shops in it. This can be a pain when you smell all those nice things without having money to buy it From another angle. Actually it's not the main part of the market but the essential one is very hard to photograph. Nevertheless, you can find some photos of that area beneath. The main shopping part of Hanover. Its very illuminated at night, especially before christmas. Looks nice, doesn't it? You can have some food or vine in there. The same building without the "candle & nutcracker"-tower stood at the same place when the soccer World Cup was in Germany. Recycling rules  If you go straight away from Hanover Station, you will reach the historic district. This is the very old big church, which is lovely illuminated at night. Nearby the church there is the real historic district. You can feel the smell of the middle age in there^^ Lots of ancient building, german pubs, restaurants and antique shops. I've had a lesson at the university a few hours ago and thats the place I was about to go to when I took that picture. Its the subway station below the big building with the "candle and nutcracker"-tower on it. That station is the center of the whole subway net and more than 20 metres deep. Leibniz University in Hanover. I've had my japanese lesson there a few hours ago as my mentioned before. I stood on the other side of the road but I still wasn't able to catch the whole building. I wasn't able to catch the beautiful illumination as well, its much brighter in reality. Anyway, a nice (and old, finished in the 1830s) building indeed! BONUS-PICTURE I just found this in a folder on my hdd. It was noon but dark as hell. I thought the clouds would fall down every second. Very impressive, but infact there wasnt one drop at all. I hope you enjoyed the trip
Great stuff guys! I might get some snow pictures today if the weather man is right. Of course, it might just be freezing rain all day too!
just to post something... here's some pics I took last winter around the place I originally comes from http://gallery.obsolete.se/photos/ (not 56k friendly)
It only snowed 3" here, but 60 miles south they got 14" - 18". Nothing worth taking a picture of, unless you like gray snow from the salt.
Ly-Colizer, that picture has some beautiful colour. Did you use any special settings on the camera? Yakumo
I've got some pictures of a boat festival I went to about 30 minutes away. That's the best I can do right now, since my digi cam is in South Korea at the moment. Fuzzy picture I took of a random island on the way there. Personal boat of some random Navy Admiral. An icon that's synonymous with my region: The ferry! I dunno, aside from the sails, would that be defined as a junk? A house atop a hill. That's all I've got. I'll be buying a new digital camera after Christmas, so I'll take loads of pictures of Kitsap County/Seattle.
No it was just automatic whitebalance, i like how the cloudy sky become so blue it must been the long shutter time catching more light that there really was. Here's another pic, not as good as the first but it has the nice blue sky
For christmas 2006 there was little snow where i lived: Christmas 2006 And here's an old pic from christmas 2004... showing even less snow:
reminds me of City17 war of the worlds snow pics: --------------------------------------------------------------------- i made those 2, about 10 years ago...and when i went for a walk with the dog last year i found them again can be very foggy here nice formation of birds nice clouds all were made with my mobile phone cam, so no supreme quality!
Current area (albeit it in October): Deer oh dear! Now (note my rather lame snowman attempt - the snow was too powdery to stick together well): Brr!:
Double post: This is where I lived just over a year ago, Xania Crete: Overlooking the city from a hill: The Venitian Quarter (partially bombed out in WW2, but still occupied): The harbour: From the apartment balcony: A typical sunset: All these were taken by me
Wow, everyone seems to live in such exotic and interesting places...not sure If I should dare post pictures of Bournemouth england!
