I was hoping to hold off on a purchase until the new Saturn chips are available but I'm doubtful they will be available in the next month or two. I'm e-mailing the supplier now about a purchase.

A rough count shows 72 chips requested ignoring the X+ requests. Assuming the new chips won't be available for 3+ months I'll place an order for 100 of these but that is an awful lot of money for me to pull out of my pocket. Given there are 100 chips available and aforementioned won't be I'll be sending PMs to those who have placed their requests to at least get payment for the chips up front and offer quotes on shipping for anyone outside of the US and those wanting more than 1 or 2 boards.

If you willing to wait, Me and Bad_Ad84 have just sent the Saturn chip into production on the 15th and should have the first batch of 100 in early to mid June (Around the 10th). Now i don't know if we can fully supply 100 off the hop as there are customers that have been waiting patiently on the side for us to have stock but i'll talk to Bad_Ad84 and look into see what we can do.

 

At the very least you've got a massive list of possible sales. I sent Bad_Ad84 a message earlier (it's still the middle of the night for him right now) about the chips and you've answered the bigger question I had. If it's a matter of having upfront capital to produce a second batch I could help get the next round jump started.

 

I don't even have a Saturn and this new board is tempting.

It's always good to have new stock even if the code is the same going around for years, let's keep the Saturn alive.

 

It would appear the new boards are partially spoken for so even if I was to make a mass purchase and redistribute them amongst the people in this thread there wouldn't be enough to go around to cover even 75% of the requests. Not sure which direction I want to go in as the organizer for this, anyone wish to chime in?

No problem Druid, we just got to restock again as the first batch is going to APE first. More will be made ASAP when the first 100 is paid for.

 

Im assuming the ones you have made are going to ape are for the people on this thread ? if that is true is they're going to be a price differences ??

I may be too late but I'd be interested in one of these as well.

 

Not sure, I need to sit down and produce a spreadsheet of all the requests. I'm in the process of acquiring some/all of the new modchips but if I end up having to put my own money down I won't be able to abide by the original prices. If so, the difference won't be much and it'll surely be much cheaper than what is currently available.

EDIT: OK, done with that. As it stands there are 80 modchips desired at minimum in this thread assuming everyone is still in. Final pricing is still TBD (I don't want to make any promises I can't keep) but they will be more than reasonably priced as will shipping options be outside of the US. Not remotely interested in gouging anyone outside the US but I will have to wait until I have anything on hand before I can start giving out individual shipping quotes.

For now I'm going to close accepting any additional requests to keep this from being a moving target for me. And I do want a few modchips for my own purposes.

Final pricing for <10 chips will be $26 each. Compare to $38.95 or $72.99

To secure your chips I'm requesting payment in advance for just the chips with shipping costs to be calculated upon receipt of the chips. Shipping within the US will be <$5 and outside the US it will vary upon location and how quickly you desire the parcel to arrive. Depending on country I may require additional measures (signature confirmation for example). I will PM anyone by next Friday who is on my list but hasn't PMed me as I'm aware some of you are infrequent posters. There will be a cut off point where any of the currently 81 modchips that go unclaimed I will toss back into the mix for any additional requests.
