gscartsw: automatic 8:1 SCART-RGB switch

Fantastic. Got my order in. This should simplify my setup and allow me to add more consoles. Currently using a SkyTronic 4-way SCART switch and Sync Strike, which will both be going on eBay once I have the gscartsw set up.

 

Can you keep us periodically updated? If it's coming close to the deadline and we're not quite there, I'd like to order some more.

Dumb question, but The built in sync stripper works for both vga and scart output, right?

 

I finally received my Sony PVM-20M2MDU monitor and cable. I can not imagine the switch being any better. It was worth every penny.

 

It's always active for VGA when in composite sync mode.

 

And not for the scart output as well?

 

For SCART output you can toggle it ON/OFF.

 

I placed an order for the SCART switch this morning (7:25am PST) but the page closed out as soon as the payment processing screen came up. I didn't get a confirmation email so I tried again and got "Processing Complete" then a page close, then no confirmation email. Can you let me know if the payment was received? Hello everyone,

I placed an order for the scart switch and was wondering what would be the best option to split the output for two displays.

I would like to feed an old sanyo crt tv with the scart output and a framemeister with the same output as well, to route the audio and video to a modern tv (1080p)

Do you know of a good scart splitter (1-in & 2-out)? Should be powered?

The gscartsw has VGA output, so maybe that's also an option to connect to the framemeister but don't know if VGA to SCART or VGA to HDMI adapters are good enough... Any recomendations on this too?

Switch is amplified and you'll get 2 proper outputs simultaneously. What you need is VGA to SCART adapter, it's just a rewire and it doesn't have to be powered (switch has to be in "CS" VGA mode). I remember somebody was mentioning here that retrogamingcables may do one for sale.

Yeah, finally got to order one. My gameroom is almost complete. Just going to have to bite the bullet on a gamecube component cable.

 

Don't, an HDMI mod is coming out this month and costs half the money. GCVIDEO

 

In my opinion GC HDMI doesn't make much sense. GC maximum is 480p and you may want to have the signal processed by XRGB.
