Hmmm, good point. I can see how that happens now. Personally, I would at the very least look up what could be wrong with it.

Never thought I'd get a 64DD with pretty much every accessory and game, with shipping box. Ended up getting it for a reasonable $800 a few years ago.

Never thought I'd get a PS2 TOOL, but got one on eBay for about $100 a few years back. It's damaged, but still worth collecting.

Haha yeah, I've seen it said a few times now, if you are buying a model 1 SCD/MCD then you will learn some basic electronics, also!

I've noticed there are quite a few for sale with the tray issue, which would be easily fixed with a bit of knowledge and a "roll your sleeves up" attitude. Potential bargains galore, especially as I prefer the look of the MCD1 (I had the MD2/MCD2 combo as a kid for comparison)

    Hi all,

Well, I never thought I would ever own/have some very, very rare Nintendo items ...... but apparently I do.

I happen to have one SNES NTSC PCB prototype of Secret Of Evermore by Squaresoft (probebly the only one left in the world) and a SNES PAL PCB prototype of Fievel Goes West by Hudson Soft (prob the same with this proto aswell) , and loose SNES PAL EPROMs of Virtual Soccer, also by Hudson Soft.

Then I happen to have a real "grail" to a Bomberman fan .... I do own FIVE origin Bomberman plysh dolls (from 1993), the four origin Bombermans(white, red, blue and green), and then the very, very rare Japanese exclusive Yellow Mecha Bomber boss.

All above things have never been out on any sell/collectors market before and have been kept carefully in boxes over 20 years.

    /Titus

Do the prototypes work? I would like to see some footage of them if you can record it.

Yes, the SoE and Fievel works fine all the way through(apart for some graphic glitches during the play), and the Virtual Soccer is difficult to start, but when it starts it is playable still.
And right now, I only have a pic of the SoE prototype, will try to take of the other two a lil later.

It's good to hear that they work and are actually playable. SoE and Fievel must be late builds if you can play all the way through.

Those PCBs look quite tall. It reminds me of those old ISA PC cards. Do you need a devkit for these or do they work on retail systems?

FZ-35S - based on the unreleased 3DO M2 hardware. This particular unit was used for kiosks in auto dealerships, medical centers and other various businesses. There's only a working beta of IMSA Racing and a shmup tech demo, that I know about. Original 3DO controllers and various PC peripherals (keyb/mouse/etc) work with it. Composite, S-Video, RGB, VGA outputs. Also has internal HDD (20GB I think).

    Does it play retail games?

I also noticed the 15 pin RGB port which I assume is either 15KHz CGA or 31KHz VGA.

The arcade games based on the M2 hardware will not work. Probably some way to get them working but not enough interest in this obscure console. I managed to find and test Polystars without success. I used 31KHz VGA CRT in my tests.

    Polystars
    Total Vice
    Battle Tryst
    Evil Night / Hell Night
    Heat of Eleven '98

What about retail 3DO games? Seeing it worked on you VGA monitor, the RGB connector must be outputting 31KHz RGBHV (VGA) instead of 15KHz RGBHV (CGA).

Totally different hardware as I understand it. Pretty advanced even - a shame really.

Maybe someone could make a game for it just to see how far the hardware can go.

There's just so few units, and people capable or willing to program for them. There's some separate dev kit hardware, even more rare.

Wish they'd just get arcade ports going.

Yes, maybe they are, but like I said, there are still glitches and unfinished graphics as one play along.
And yes, the SoE PCB is larger SHVC-8PV5B (with dipswitches), more rare than the more usual SVHC-4PV5B. As SoE is NTSC game, I do need a programmable adapter to play it on my PAL SNES, and the same goes for Jap carts/PCB like Fievel.

I know I always wanted a US SNES, as one can play both SNES NTSC and Super Famicon carts on them (after some small plastic detail removal). I know they are out there on ebay/amazon, but quite pricy, so if you know somewhere/someone that might have a nice SNES lying around, nice condition and working, more price friendly, let me know, ok? I'll try to find some minutes to picture the other two protos later today. Do you want pics of the dolls too? I did find another old proto here, a SNES PAL cart of Kirby's Ghost Trap (Kirbys Avalange in US).
