It is really appreciated , the things that you share to me.

And sorry that I directly thought of the f word instead of the s word, f or s, I think you do read in between the lines either way lol

I also think that I do not have the knowledge to do any solding on my own, not just yet anyway, so I will aim to get the already fixed/modded cables needed to have the best result here in Europe.
What do you think about the tv set then? Will it do, you think?

Lol, I just wonder why you americans (no offence now) threw away so much boxes?? And will you ever bump into SNES titles, boxed and/or sealed, pls send me a note, will ya? Nice that you have found some boxed MSP games for that nice price? Does the condition of the game look ok, you think? I mean in total (cart, box, manual)?

    Thanks & Cheers

    / Titus :)

Your very welcome and it's ok that you thought of that word instead. There are a lot of 4 letter words out there in the English language and I should have used a better example when originally explaining the word. I believe the word "crap" is more commonly used in the USA than other English speaking countries, but I could be wrong about that.

Soldering can be difficult at first, but once you get the hang of it, it becomes easier to do. Just remember that the soldering iron gets very hot so do NOT touch a heated soldering iron. That can be a trip to the hospital kind of bad if you do touch it while it is hot and turned on.

The cable I linked earlier is a really good option and she ships internationally. There is this UK site selling SCART cables for multiple consoles but I don't know much about their cables to give a recommendation. They may be really good or complete junk.

As long as your TV has an RGB SCART input or an HDMI input, it will do. The ideal condition would be something like an XRGB mini with an HDTV but the XRGB is quite expensive. The converter I linked earlier is similar to mine and it works great. It is much, much more affordable than the XRGB mini but it doesn't has as many options. If you use a modern sound system, there is a digital audio mod for the SNES that allows it to be used with receivers with digital optical TOSLINK inputs. It bypass the internal Digital to Analog conversion chips so it will give you the best sound quality.

No offense taken. We are quite wasteful lol. I tell people that they shouldn't trash their game boxes because they will be worth more down the road if they ever decided to get rid of it. Of course that doesn't always happen and they throw it away anyway. Thankfully, we now use standard DVD/Blu Ray cases so this doesn't happen much nowadays.

I will send you a note if I find one boxed and or complete. Unfortunately, boxed games are hard to find in the wild except for games that come in standard cases, such as anything CD/DVD/Blu Ray based, Nintendo DS/3DS games, Master System games, Genesis (our version of the Mega Drive) games, and many Game Gear games. When it comes to American SNES games, the main thing to watch for is stickers/sticker residue, damaged or discolored labels, and some scuffs or other blemishes. I'm not sure if I have even seen yellowing on common American SNES carts.

MSP is available from USA sellers but it is normally loose. Japan is your best bet for a complete copy. The ones I saw look like they were taken care of and in very good to near mint condition. If you can't get one with the original box, there are people who make custom plastic clamshell cases for MSP and they look nice. Thought about getting one myself. The game was released on the NTSC-J and PAL Wii Virtual Consoles (not sure about Wii U Virtual Console), but not on the American VC. It's a shame it didn't because it is really good.

    Your very welcome,

    MonkeyBoyJoey

One thing I can honestly say I never thought I would own is a Dead or Alive ++ Arcade board. Last Christmas Eve it was delivered to my door and it was one of my best arcade purchases (up to there atleast). Video hopefully coming very soon for that.

Not as rare as some stuff in this thread, but I never thought I'd own a Jag CD back when I started re-collecting that system. Also, a few Japanese Dreamcast bits like the Dreameye or the Dreamcast Express demo disc series.

I would never have thought I would have an actual arcade cab because of the insane shipping prices and such... but then there was a dutch guy selling a new astro city and all of a sudden it came possible.

One thing I never thought I would own would be betas or pre-release copies of games, and then, at a flea market I found for 2€ a not for release version of Colin McRae Rally 3 for the Xbox.

My arcade cab for sure, it was a dream of mine from when I was 11~12 years old. Still can't believe it came true.

I never thought I'd own a Sharp Famicom Station, or an original 1978 Space Invaders Color cocktail table, but here I am today owning both.

My JVC X'Eye and Japanese Saturn. Those 2 consoles were the cause of so much pain when I was younger, hearing those awesome bootup screens made me sad I didn't have one and that I probably wouldn't ever have one. Fast forward 7 years, I've got both my console dreams on a shelf, yet I'm still not satisfied... Maybe a Neo Geo AES next?

This is one of the tougher questions

funny when you think about it. I thought I would never own a N64DD .. now I have 2 sets, a developers kit, all the games and more promo stuff
Never thought I'd own that many consoles. (200+) now. I was not into collecting consoles until something snapped few years ago.
    best thing I've ever done.

Also never thought I would ever own an N64 ANA shipping box.

Finally grabbed Snatcher for PC8801 and the less-rare MSX2 version, rounding off the set (save for the EU MD version).

Ever since I started learning about obscure gaming back in like, 2007, I always wanted a Gizmondo. I searched and searched and couldn't find one for the right price. I found a faulty unit from the UK for like, $50AU delivered. And I was stoked with having that. Then one random day this year I was just going through eBay and found a complete boxed Gizmondo with all original accessories, extended battery, all the way from Italy for $135AU delivered. I had PayPal funds so I went for it. Stoked to have one in my collection, although it's kind of a hunk of junk hah.
