Like how games look on PS3 and PSP when you view them in a list? I vote for this!

i only develop the sd card making program the menu is developed by neuroacid also am not good at programing :p about open source and Linux port

    1) I don't know lot of programing to port it to linux so...
    2) I don't think that the program is so significant that needs to open-source it
    3) You don't want to see my code :p it is like reading obfuscated nothing professional :) (i will think about this in the future btw)

about single game region patching is in progress, folder limit is one string update will come with the fw i don't make the option for one reason that i don't know how deunan thinks for the future ex. 001 or 0001 etc, program now will scan all sub directory's for games

    1) What is the program currently written in?
2/3) it might still be worth throwing it up on GitHub to learn :)

Edit: I guess I can answer my own question, VB.NET a port to Mono (the open source .NET Runtime implementation) shouldn't be too bad. I don't recall how good their Windows Forms Support is though, I thought they were working to make it "Just Work"

Its Vol 4-7 that has the region protection checks but it is also happens much later in the game. It checks if there is a region free BIOS or anything outside NTSC-J it freezes and such but this is only been tested via CDR

I've got a GDEMU on the way to use in my PAL Dreamcast, just wondering what the best way to play other region games is.

Best way: install a region free BIOS chip
Easiest way: just patch the images to be region free

Will this patching work on all games, including full gdrom dumps?
Any idea where I can get a region free BIOS from?

    GDEMU_SD
    New version 1.02 (05-10-2014)
    + Small Fixes
+ Right-Click Options (Move to Top, Move to Bottom ,Delete) and
for GDI files (Verify Image and Region Options*)
+ Now when you drag and drop a folder the program will add all images from all sub-folders

*Region options for separate images will be available after image is written to sd card

MNEMO sent me an icq message the other day out of the blue to send me the new firmware. Just wanted to give a heads up. He stated that all games issues had been fixed. The date code on the firmware is 2014-10-02.

I figured as much, bust since MNEMO is so private about firmware. I didn't ask anybody for it.

With these issues sorted, hopefully he can start work on implementing cdi and perhaps a cheats.

well, there are still some stuff not running OK , it is believed this is due to region patching and custom BIOSes (converted pal->ntsc or hacked) , he is still looking in fixing these remaining titles
you could have asked me, I would have sent you the file :)

Not strictly true, I have NTSC region GDI's & my console set to NTSC (not by a bios, on the console chip) & they still have issues.

So it's not a region thing, its a hardware or software issue. I'm assuming MNEMO is testing these games on a debug unit & this maybe why he isn't have an issue with Vanishing Point.

I mean, if multiple users are having an issue with certain games & he's not then there is an issue in our devices or he's using a different version/debug board.

Well I have a DC with replaced bios, I have that hacked one with the dev boot screen - supposedly this is a RF bios.
On a stock PAL (same usb device/gdi) and on a stock NTSC (real units) Vanishing Point (NTSC) for example loads fine.
On my hacked-bios DC (and yours) VP just freezes... so it has something to do with the region patches since I tested on my stock pal and MNEMO has VP running on his stock NTSC just fine all that time - even with the previous non-fixed fw...

What sort of SD card should I get for GDEMU. Do 64GB cards work?
