You have nothing to worry about... he took quite a few days to get mine in the mail and it took 11 days after that to get to me.

YOU DID NOT LOOSE YOUR MONEY.. no one here got screwed.... He is a great guy and not really that new to the scene.. He did the 3d0 boards too..

My bet is your in good hands.....

You can send him a OFFLINE MESSAGE on ICQ and he will eventually update you or get back to you.

same here as Comp1demon , took 12 days for mine to arrive.
I am 100% sure he is working on getting the non-loading games to work OK and then he will ship updated units. He did the same thing in the summer when another bug was found.
101% you didn't lose your money , it just sucks you don't get an update.

Ofcourse one wishes there was a page/forum/post by MNEMO that he could use to post updates so that people don't worry or wonder wtf is going on, sadly it seems that everything related to his devices is top-secret classified stuff :\

Would be cool to do a transfer-speed comparison of the two devices with similar/same storage devices.

Yes, but one of the devices must be faster than the other! Lets find out which one! ;)

I don't think it matters that much as both devices (and the HD mod) are much faster than the GD-ROM drive.

If you look at the video a few pages back comparing the GDEMU to the HDD - they are both really similar and on some games HDD comes out on top and other games the GDEMU does - the USBGDROM device is also comparable to both of these and so will act the same (faster on some games and slower on others)

How do you arrange games that have 2 disc, can you put both if them in the same folder?

Also is there no Batch option for GDEMU_SD program, so you can covert a folder full of gdi images in there own folders?

EDIT:I have noticed you can drag and drop folder, but it would appear GDEMU-SD only searches 1 folder deep, can an option be added to change the folder depth GDEMU_SD searches?

You cannot put the in the same folder. The 2nd disc can go in any folder, but probably best to put it in the next higher number so it's easier to switch to.

I will make that in the next version also right click menu with Move on top, Move on bottom, Delete and Verify Image (only on GDI images) will check the files with TOSEC hashes. any other suggestion?

Mnemo is online now and told me this

"I will got PCB at 13-17 oct"

So I'm going to wait until then as far as bothering him. Hopefully I can ease some of his incoming messages on ICQ haha

Just tested an update from MNEMO , I tested Rocky5 's list and except 2-3 games all work fine now:

NBA Showtime - NBA on NBC ----commentary now works better but the phrases get cut-off early
NFL Blitz 2001 ---- commentary gets cut-off early as well, most likely the same issue as the previous game
Vanishing Point ---- still freezes after intro. (Accessing data screen) , MNEMO says it works for him even with previous fw ... he has a NTSC console + NTSC images, I am testing with a PAL console+rf bios

I have also noticed some NTSC games that keep rebooting for me (constant boot anim) when in 15khz mode, in VGA mode they load fine:
    Shadow Man
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six - Rogue Spear
    World Series Baseball 2K2

can someone with a PAL console try them in 15khz RGB mode (normal scart rgb connection that is) and report if they load OK?

Also Vampire Chronicles does this for me in 15khz RGB mode:

you only see enlarged the upper-left part of the screen, in VGA mode the game works fine... if anyone can try that in a PAL console I'll be grateful to know how things work

You got an update :-( I'm still waiting.

my console is PAL originally, but I changed the region to NTSC & vanishing point crashes, so unless the trurip dump is gubbed then it doesn't work.

I should mention that I couldn't test Seaman as I have no microphone....

did you by any chance tested the games that reboot for me unless in 15khz mode?

Great, thanks for checking this Rocky5!
I have a stock PAL system available, I will test it tomorrow and see what I get. Seems strange they reboot , the only reason I could think was the modded BIOS but it doesn't look like it... Maybe someone with a patched bios can test what happens with GDEMU ?
