hi chaps. Mnemo is saying via email that paypal is giving him problems and if I can pay via western union. 99% of me is thinking to send the western union but 1% of me is thinking that his email was hacked and I'm corresponding with some Nigerian scammer

 

He doesn't like paypal taking 4 or 5% of the total when he goes to take it out.
I just subsidised that 5% so he gets the full amount.

& never send as a gift as your not coved by Paypal, he has 30 days for me to get my item or I file a complaint & get my money back.

he also said it would take between 8-12 days. (Via EMS)

Also his paypal email is legit, (not going to post it here) his name is Oleg Chuguevskiy & he also has a Youtube channel in that name with the 3DO loader & other things.

 

If he gets enough transactions on his PayPal account, it's probably going to be yet another case of PayPal freezing the account for "suspicious activity".

 

I've been emailing him as well, hopefully I'll get a unit

He should probably just incorporate the Paypal fees into the total for the transaction for us to pay. Anyone would be nuts to gift funds, generally speaking. When you're talking about a two hundred transaction, that 5% is nothing.

 

Very tempted to buy one of these, yet just hope it does not turn into vapor ware after a so many units are sold. I want to see, if the different CDI 80min LBA rips of 11700, 11702 (Audio\Data) and 45000 (Data/Data) methods work 100% and the 99min CDI rips too.

 

Could you do a extensive test and review regarding 80min and 99min images that are available, if possible please? once you receive it.

 

Why test rips when you can just use GDIs?

 

Have to agree with billcosbymon here - there are so many full GDI images out there surely you would rather use them over a rip?
I know when I ordered the GDEMU - I spent a few days making 1:1 rips of all my discs with the SDRIP program. It does take up more space but as this device is USB that should not be a problem
The only CDI image I actually use is the reviveDC release of Shenmue Undub lol

I would like to know what the clearance is between the mainboard shield and the bottom of this device when fitted - as it would be awesome to fit a USB powered slim external hdd in there if there is room

 

Actually .CDI / rip- support is a welcome addition, otherwise it's impossible to play the many homebrew and commercially developed indie games. Also unreleased games like Propeller Arena, Geist Force, Half-Life etc only have a .CDI out of there.

 

Because I have like 180 rips that I own and use on real hardware and nulldc. I see the point in using gdi's, as it's not gonna get any better than that but rips do have their use too.

His email doesn't work (unless someone else can confirm otherwise). You're going to have to use ICQ and hope you can get in touch (and then plan to either use Western Union or offer to eat the PayPal fees cost, it appears).

By my rough count, the original 8 units on offer are likely gone now, so it's back to waiting . . . Looks like he has a track record of producing, though, so hopefully more will become available, and with a more reliable system for purchase!
