I am using MNEMO's board that offer region-free loading and on top of that I have installed in my DC the region-free hacked dev bios
When using VGA the game hang at a blank screen with some Japanese words.
When using RGB the game just hanged at a black screen.
I grabbed the GDI twice from different sources but none worked for me...

Guess it says it's not compatible with VGA mode.
I will try with GD-EMU. If that works, I will send you my GDI.

    Hi guys,

Anyone could says me how to buy one USB-GDRom card from Mnemo?? because in his web page appears this message

    (добавлено 10 ноября. 2013)
(Hidden page untill start mass production. Please don't share until start mass production.
Кто будет распространяться об этом девайсе до официального релиза- тот его не получит.)

And when I try to click on "How to buy link" appears a 404 error.

Thank you very much in advance

    Un saludo

I used this GDI from TOSEC: Vampire Chronicle for Matching Service v1.003 (2000)(Capcom)(NTSC)(JP)(en)[!]

Worked like a charm, no issue at all, played a full game from start to the end.
Image wasn't patched, used a Japanese Dreamcast with dev BIOS and VGA output, along with GD-EMU.
If you have somewhere I can put the file, tell me where and I'll send it to you for test.

I dont own or have any of the JP releases/games, but I got a hold of the game & like you its just a black screen after some JP txt, not sure if that txt is an error or what since I dont speak or read JP.

ah, it's either the GDI we have or the USB-GDROM... once Braintrash sends his GDI and I test it (just to be 101% sure) I'll tell MNEMO if the game does not work

^ sure, you get 2 messages , they only appear in VGA mode for me:

After these 2 messages the screen stays black. On the VMU one can see the Vampire Chronicle logo.
In RGB mode you get no picture, just the VMU logo....

    ^ Easy.

First screen says it is autoloading your save data from the memory card in port A-1 (where you put your MC in your player 1 pad).
Second screen says it couldn't autoload.

I got the same message when I tried earlier today, it has, as expected, no link with your problem.

If you're wanting your cooling project to work, you will need to enclose the PSU as the fan is not positioned in the correct place to give sufficient suction.

Also the main board will need cooling, but you run into the issue of air takes the easiest path, so fins to block off that part may work but then again you have all the components of the PSU causing drag.

My first design is going to emulate and improve airflow conditions as if the GDrom drive was still in the console. If that doesn't fix the heat issue then the new boards are causing MORE heat and I will have to redesign and think of other possible solutions

Mnemo finally got back to me and said, "Second batch will be better." Argh, maybe the wait and difficulty in communication will be worth it!

allright, tested Braintrash 's GDI (thanks again man!) just to be 101% sure , the game still black-screens. MNEMO also told me he will try and fix it , so it's waiting time ;)

I also got the info that there will not be a new hardware revision and that at some point we would be able if we want to add the lid switch on the board, there is already a place for it
