I started as thread about the System573 board several months ago in the arcade section. That was before I got the DTL-T10k and immediately re-routed my interest / efforts into getting that running. As far as I know the 573 is a rare board. A few arcade fans have mentioned their interest in seeing it running, however I would imagine it is quite a basic unit as indeed it is based on the Playstation1 - much of the internal architecture is familiar territory to PS fans. Although, it would appear that Konami threw in a few custom chips. I have 1 working title for the unit (a stupid blasted horse racing game) entitled "Dark Horse Legends" which also came with it's necessary dongle. Plus, I know the previous owner posted me images of the unit in action so it does apparently function. http://www.system16.com/hardware.php?id=582 (scroll down a little and you'll see screen shots & hardware images) I've never seen another one appearing on auction or for sale. It makes the possibility of me obtaining another title for it a bit remote.
Far better image of Nintendo dev collection Capture unit (which just acts like the later Gameboy Player you attach to the Gamecube, other than the type of ports and PC side). SCSI out to PC and you can capture both video or still images. It will play GB, CBG & AGB titles. Items now sold hence images deleted.
WOW the Xbox stuff are nice ( has a soft spot to original Xbox as well). Also it was nice to see the PS2linux box again
very impressive, if you ever deside to sell anything please PM (though I doubt that from happening ) How hard was that Xbox Alpha box to get and how much if you don't mind?
Once I set my mind to it (because a couple of other AG users at the time were exploring their Alpha units), it took about 3mths to locate one, but more through luck and virtually obsessive auction, listings, site & friend trawling. In the end it was a very poorly listed auction on eBay.com. Now I can't remember whether I stubbled across it or someone else mentioned it to me. My memory just isn't that good. All in, including P&P, V.A.T. and some daft bloody import duty (because the sender filled the form in wrong), it was about the price of a PS3 and a game.
You know, I paid the price of a US PS3 for one of the game of my collection... On the Nintendo dev stuff picture, what are the 2 boards on the left?
Top board is an ODEM, bottom board is a SCSI PCI card for the AGB Capture kit. ;-) Can I ask, which game cost that much - please feel to PM me if you can't discuss here?
Thanks! I've always had a thing for the Gameboy range and have no real answer for it. I originally had an Atari Lynx, then a Lynx II. Also I laterly bought a Sega GameGear (purely for Sonic) and got hold of a cheap (£3.00) Gameboy. Since then I've wanted the development kits for all these systems for no real reason whatsoever. I do like the AGB stuff though. Main interest is PSP.
i know what you mean, ever since i seen 3do m2 i was fascinated with it and when i seen the m2 apple mac dev computer on ebay i was so drawn to it time and time again and wish i could have bought but was skint and it was too much and even though i would parobably never use one i still want a m2 dev computer.
Ah yes, the collector's bug! It bites hard and never lets go! I was just looking at the 2 3DO M2 units offered on AG marketplace. They do look very nice, however the prices (which to be fair are probably right, but I wouldn't know) appear high!
Wow! You must really like the series. I am sadly going to have to admit I have NEVER (and I mean this folks), never actually played any of the MS series.
I really do, I could have bought a PS3 instead but I didn't (and still don't) want one... I'm using coinopexpress as a reference knowing they're expensive or the Atomiswave.org price guide, it appears that this game still has a high value: http://www.coinopexpress.com/products/pcbs/atomiswave_system/Metal_Slug_6_software_6698.html http://atomiswave.org/viewtopic.php?t=11
you are about right there parris the prices are fair but high which is the reason i've not been able to go for them and also the fact if i did buy a M2 mac dev unit i have no were for it to go.
Each time I look at the Atomiswave stuff I think "Mmmmmm!" but I really cannot afford it. The actual consolised unit is okay, it's the cost of the carts that freaks me out! As you say "I could have had a PS3" and even then people groan at the cost of one of those! Arcade is a whole different ball game, which as a student I don't think I am currently prepared to take part in - sadly! I've just got to stop looking at arcade stuff :-( The graphics of MS6 are fantastic. I was looking at the detail in some of the images posted on one of the site links. Very nice indeed.
Hey no one likes a show off Parris  Seriously, will you just slow down a bit and give the rest of us a chance to catch up..... Looks like you're a man with decent contacts out there - alas I'm just one of the many with the cash ready but no sources :crying: (D'you think that hint was subtle enough? ;-)) Seriously though, I love your collection - keep us updated if / when you get more!
Ooops! Sorry, I seriously hope this doesn't look like I am rubbing it in anyones faces  Considering some of the collections I have seen I feel at times I am very much on a back foot trying to catch up lol Actually, no money has exchanged hands in some time. I've had a few items to trade and thankfully I've either had doubles or unwanted material others have been interested in.
