Thanks! I'm more into just collecting than trying to do anything with them. Call it a hommage to those who can, by someone who can't ;-) Most of the items I purchase are broken, incomplete or damaged when I purchase them and I then try to repair them with lots of assistance from other AG members. As this is show and tell, post your dev items - I'd be interested. Oh, and although you've been around long enough to post a few times, welcome to the boards. Not seen your name before
Thanks for your welcome  I will post when I get my things out of the storage. I just moved from the States to Asia and everything is still in storage. It will take quite a whilte before I get to take everything out. :icon_bigg
Namco Playstation System 12 motherboard & Toukon retsuden 3. Continuing the saga of all things Playstation. This was a cheaply imported motherboard from Japan via Sweden. Granted, it's probably of very limited appeal, but I promise the next System I include will be far more interesting! I personally love the System 11, 12 & 573, but hey I don't mind being almost alone in that. Sorry for poor image but battery was running out on camera. Fully working board, in mint condition. http://www.bandainamcogames.co.jp/aa/am/vg/toukonretsuden3/ and as pointed out by UJ: http://www.arcadeflyers.com/?page=flyer&db=videodb&id=3701&image=1 Or some YouTube footage: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BfUW43_nXVI The System 12 motherboard has ROM based titles and each one was customised to suit each individual title, therefore you really do need to like the title you end up with! Based on the Playstation 1.
Not sure why I never added this, but this was the Christmas present from the wife this year. Amazingly nobody else really bid on it and it only cost £30+. I did however decide to change the monitor that it came with (original Thomson CRT, which was burnt out). I can recommend a Philips 19" TFT (model No. XXXXX (to be added when I look at the back of it again)) as a direct replacement as it's not widescreen as most TV monitors are these days. It fits the slot almost exactly and COULD be mounted within the exact space if you so desired. I've left it free standing so I can use it for other things when not in storage. Note, I have also installed a 360 into the base of the unit. Need to establish some means of switching between the two as at present I end up booting both. So image is from 'Crackdown'.
It came in very handy at Christmas time when we had a big family get together. All the women were in the livingroom using a Wii playing Sports (all the kids were joining in) and all the men were at the back of the house playing 'DiRT'. Normally we all sit chatting and it turns to politics, religion, state of the economy, who's no longer with us or very ill at the moment etc, however this year it was all about 'Sh*t, watch the log....damn!' and 'Right beat THAT time then!' As for those who say 'gaming kills the art of conversation' then I suggest that it might be a different type of conversation, but we all had a good time and it was excellent to see everyone laughing. So, the new motto really should be 'Everyone deserves a kiosk!'
Damm i want one of those but not got space for it, sounds like a good way to spend christmas, I only ever play multiplayer games on Xbox 1 for some reason wether it be Tiger woods with my dad and his friend or PGR 2, Rallisport 2 or any racing with my dad and sisters fiancee but we get so much fun taking the p*ss out of each other for playing badly, just messing up or trying to do stuff thats impossible and failing or getting away with it.
that sounds like a fantastic get-together... it's pretty crazy, how many people play videogames this generation. my parents, who haven't owned a console for over 20 years have a Wii and have a blast playing it. times they are a changin'...
That's a nice Killer Instinct Cabinet there in the background. Do you have the whole set-up for it? That use to be one of my favorite games back in the day.
Yes I have, but for know it is in restoration/cleaning stage. I bought the other days whole new set of joy, buttons and wires.
Agreed! And nicely done re the System material. Never even heard of Dancing Eyes before. Must have missed that one! h:
Its indeed a nice remake in 3d of classic game. I play it from time to time like for a 3-4 hour, because you start one stage and after, you just say one more and when you look at watch its 3 hours later ;-). And I got it for 20 GBP.
Namco / Sony System 246. Arcade unit based on the Playstation2. Came complete with 2 x Gundam titles & a Namco I/O. Was missing DVDrom drive, but it would appear that they are not unique.
