6 x Microsoft Xbox LE units. Had some for a long time, but recently acquired the 2nd Anniversary White unit (Number 920 of 1000) & Japanese Smokey, but my favourite has got to be the Mountain Dew (Green) unit, although it is not the rarest.
I actually thought the smokey was a bit of a strange one. It was released as an LE at launch in Japan as an alternative to the standard black unit. I've always wondered why they would choose such a similar colour? It's a nice unit, don't get me wrong, but not so overly different for it to be the kind of thing that would make me think 'Oh, I wasn't going to get one, but I must have the LE...' The 2nd Anniversary White is immediately what strikes me thee perfect colour for a limited edition.
Not that I have ever found, or even seen no! It was a Pepsi Company tie-in. You had to drink gallons of Mountain Dew and send the tokens off. Apparently 5000 were produced, but not all of them were collected and some of the remaining units were later used in another Pepsi Company tie-in for the release of the film "Hulk" in Europe. I'm not 100% sure of figures on that one, but I had heard it was approximately 100 units.
Prices vary (as always on these things) and I actually traded for this one. Recently I have been buying a great deal less and trading with spares & duplicate units.
Im just glad the White, Blue and Smokey went to a good home! They do look very impressive all lined up like that! Next you need the Hello Kitty, Panzer dragoon white, Kasumi blue and Halo LE green!
Hello Kitty..... hmmmmmm, pretty hard to obtain I'd say, but I was glad to hear that the surface finish is 'not' a transfer but painted on properly. Never really liked the PD white for some reason. I've got all the finishes other than the newly discovered Orange. Now THAT would be great!
yes, was a joke, I see your xbox collection and ... I like the 10 million (if I'm not in a mistake) anniversay ps1 model.
The arcade motherboards up & running Neo-Geo 1 slot motherboard Getting my ass whumped (happens whether taking images or not...) For ages I have had this Konami System 573 (Playstation 1) with Dark Horse Legend kicking about. Finally I get to test it: Almost exclusively in Japanese (with the odd English word thrown in on-screen) I have virtually NO idea what is going on, but I won each race so I must be doing something right. Not my idea of a great game! Looking for other 573 titles I think. I also noticed that the motherboard, although equipped with L/R audio outs doesn't appear to have an on-board amplifier and therefore output is via headphone socket on Supergun. The Namco System 246 (Playstation 2) is really the one I am most interested in. But at present this is as far as I can get: The DVD doesn't light up at all. It's not even the right DVD drive so at least the motherboard powers up! Lastly the System 12 (Playstation 1): designed just to play 'Touken Retsuden 3' which as you can see is a pro-wrestling title. I recently obtained a Naomi 1 motherboard (Dreamcast), however it is currently incomplete and needs a bit of TLC. Once I get the opportunity I'll be trying it out.
Is that one of those cheapo superguns that sell for under a tenner on ebay? If so what are they like for actually playing boards? I'd imagine using MD pads would be a bit crap...
