Sorry, I was being n00b. Unplugging it, and leaving it off overnight fixed it. I mostly use Original Xbox to play Thief btw. Must have played it over 30 times. Is it possible to launch games with .etm files from your dashboard? Or do I need that specific program from your add-on disc? I wanted to reward my Baldu'rs Gate Dark Alliance archer with infinite arrows. I'm playing most of my games in widescreen now. All you need to do is to hexedit the default.xbe. http://ps2wide.net/xbox.html
Use XBMC for trainers if you don't want to use XOR trainer launcher. Also make sure the Xbox is well ventilated, it could have overheated. You can increase the default fan speed via NKPatcher Settings. ( this is a global change, separate from the dashboard settings )
Did you redownload them? I updated to earlier on. Update: Dec 15 2016 Some more backend changes, I modularized the 2016 Softmod Tool Kit a bit more and cleaned up its code. Updated the other parts of the softmod to reflect these changes. Improved the update softmod installer, now check for the presence of my softmod before running and also cleans up better.
Yes. Another observation. Both the main files, as well as the updated ones, break the ability to open the DVD-tray, either by menu or by pushing the eject button. I tested it on two machines, and both refuse to open the tray now.
You have confused me, the menu button? ( you trying to open the drawer via a dashboard ) If you mean the eject button read below: The DVD tray is hardware driven as well as software, so the button would open the tray regardless. What happens when you press the eject button? You keep coming on here saying the softmod broke this, with no details as that what is happening to only then come on later and say nup was your mistake :/ The softmod is software only, so open the DVD tray from a cold boot, i.e. The Xbox is off. As the softmod isn't loaded at this point, so if the drawer doesn't open it's not my problem or the softmod. Also I haven't change anything in NKPatcher ( the main part of the softmod, don't confuse it with the settings ) regarding the DVD drive.
Yes, the eject button. Again, you are right: From cold boot it opens again. Will report more details next time I return with questions.
