At long last, a Sonic game that looks like a Sonic game! Fingers crossed it will play like a Sonic game as well. Yakumo
Episode 1 probably just means Level 1, when you hit the second level it will ask you for an additional 5 bucks to download and play it
as awesome as the orioto artwork is. I'm not sure how anybody can make a game look anything like that in real time in both a static and motion state.
I saw a teaser and I m not really into the fact that they use the lanky version of sonic for this game. I am aware that this is his modern image, ever since Sonic Adventure 2, but I would much rather get a rendered version of the Sonic 3 iteration.
Old business guy1 "Well fuck we're out of ideas, back to basics then?" Old business guy2 "I agree, all in favor?" Rest of overpaid fuckers "I!" Well I guess after not really improving the platforms of the adventure games (just make them on rails and less playable) and ripping off God of War there's really nothing else to do, right? There was more innovation between Sonic 2 and 3 than in all sonic games from 1999 to 2009, which just says how stale the series is. If this turd flops then its the end for the franchise, since I honestly cant see the retards at sega coming up with a better idea (which they didnt, just went backwards) Shit, if the rest of the industry had the same motto, we would still be playing pong today... Anyway, this video sums it up pretty well...
But if Sega fucks this up will they really kill the franchise or just keep trying until Square Enix (Or Microsoft) buys them out?
I want to believe in it,but I just can't because this is SEGA we're talking about. They tend to fuck things up everytime!
Just seeing the words Sonic 4 and side scrolling sonic got me excited. I know they did a GBA sonic game that was side scrolling a few years ago, but an official next gen new version is great. As for why its not super hi def, 1080p playstation 3 blu ray version, its probably about cost and the fact that cheap development plus easy profits off of psn and xbox live won out over something truly amazing.
This looks...pretty good? I wish they hadn't called it Sonic 4 though, because when it inevitably sucks, it'll taint the good series of Sonic games. Whatever they do, PLEASE, Sega, don't get Dimps to develop it!
The trailer just looks like an HD version of Sonic Advance, which isn't bad but it's still not "classic sonic"
I think it looks great and it has me excited. The only down point is the 'Episode 1'. I sense DLC-laden gaming for Sonic 4 and I don't like it one bit. Just sell me the full game please.
Looks good except his legs animation. My favorite was from Sonic CD. Either way I will buy this day 1 barring any ridiculous sonic-friends announcements.
