Sonic needs to spin much faster when jumping. At the moment it just looks so wrong. Apart from that it is looking good. Fingers crossed for this one. Yakumo
sonic looks stiff. He needs to chill out and get more frames of proper animation in there and the spin dash has to get elliptical to be any good, else it's going to look like it did in Sonic CD.
Nope, it's a new adventure as sega said and as we can see in the leak video. This is just the mandatory green level for the first sonic in a sonic game ( it happens in a lot of classic sonics )
I cant see it on pnet, tried EU/USA/JP region marketplace... no sign of it here! I hope i didnt miss it!
Sure, but is this some free fan attempt? That would be fine. There's no style, just a badly polished version of Sonic's Green Hill zone. The chance to make a good Sonic game was there, and they've blown it. It's so uninspired. Surely we have the tech and know-how to make better 2D than this?? It looks like Donkey Kong on the SNES (great game, but not exactly a recent game). If it continues like this, it'll be demo only for me :crying:
... it's basically NSMBWii except for sonic. I mean look at that game a lot of the levels are very similar to SMB3 ,SMW and NSMBDS. So just because this game has an obligatory Green level at the beginning it sucks? The logic makes no sense in that statment
Here's a good read for the naysayers http://www.destructoid.com/videogame-fans-need-to-shut-up-about-everything-164476.phtml#ext An article I 100% agree with.
I'm sorry dude but that has to be the longest bitch-rant I've read in a decade, in fact the author's rebuttals were so full of crap that I had to go into TLR mode. Just look at this image for a second: A remake of the first boss ever for a Sonic game, almost 20 years later . . . .........dont anyone see whats wrong here? I've to disagree with both the author and hardcore Fallout fans here: I liked Fallout3, I liked it a LOT more than the old isometric ones, and I'm really looking foward to New Vegas now that they decided to follow F3's system instead of trying to resurrect the original's pain-in-the-ass gameplay. F3 brought the franchise into the future, even when running on top of Oblivion. So my question is this: Why cant SEGA do the same? The problem with Sonic 4 is that it perpetrates the same trend we've seen for the last 10 years in this franchise: they just keep doing the same, with a twist here and there. Just like all 3D sonics were a copy of the adventures games (which while good, needed some work) sonic 4 is a blatant copy of the old sonics, it even seems they wont even bother to create new levels, they'll just take the old ones, add a few things and ship it. The series need a complete overhaul, a severe modification of how gameplay can be worked now that consoles have the power to run entire worlds at almost full detail. This game is just another way of saying: "we give up, just buy our shit..."
