Americans? Almost zero, and only a handful more South Korean & Japanese (although unfortunately civillians in some cases). In other words, we're supposed to mind our own business.

That's the problem... and something nobody wants to get into ever again. That was the whole reason the bombs were used in WWII. In that case the math favored the attacks, although I don't think they really grasped the long term effects.

No they didn't. They had their asses handed to them once we had our troops built up. The only reason they are around is because the of the Chinese intervention and they won't save them this time. The economic ties between the US and China are too important to risk over North Korea.

The escalation of this mess really depends on the North Koreans doing something stupid or not, and I'm not sure that they fully realize what would happen if they did do something more belligerent.

The chinese just said they won't back up nk, so unlike the first war, they would have no support from the deep pockets up north.

I think that you US-Boys first have to fix your oil-leak before going to another war?

I'm pretty sure we can fix that leak and fight a war at the same time. I mean we're already doing it.

I almost shit my pants the first time I went home after a year. Reverse culture shock is far more powerful than vanilla culture shock.

yeah, going through London on the way back home always makes me feel odd. I mean - i lived in London for 4 years, i should be fine with it but it all feels so alien lol.

I actually had a "dumb tourist" moment trying to get a ticket from the ticket machine so i could go from Paddington to Euston Square. I just couldn't figure it out, this obviously got me some "Awh faa fak sake"'s for my trouble from annoyed people behind me! lol.

Ha I never said we were doing an exceptional job. I just said that I think we could handle it.

I just fail to see what an oil spill has to do with fighting a war.. They're separate issues as far as I am concerned.

Sure - and pigs will fly.

Your country is already doing it so good that it became the laughing stock of the world.
Better keep your army on your own territory and use it when it's really needed.
Maybe there will be a time when it's needed in North Corea - but let's hope this time will never come and things can be solved by diplomacy.

Oh no the worlds biggest super power is "the laughing stock of the world". I think when you're out of high school you don't have to much care what everyone else thinks.

You don't agree with the war. That's fine, but don't act like it's not justified or otherwise necessary simply because the "rest of the world" you talk about doesn't like it. General consensus of the world population is not how we run the United States.

WE ARE FIGHTING A WAR AAAAAND ATTEMPTING TO STOP AN OIL LEAK AT THE SAME TIME. IT ISSSS HAPPENING! Show me your flying pigs please.

*edit* don't feel like starting any shit so I pulled some comments.
