the Xploder is very common in Germany. It was sold in many stores. Blaze also released in Germany a book for the Xploder with very detailled information about creating your own codes, manipulate savegames and much more. It's called 'Das offizielle Xploder Handbuch'. The book also contains a hyprid disk which works in PlayStation (cheatcodes) and on the PC (Xploder Link software).

However the original Datel Action Replay is not so easy to get here.

    That would explain it :)
It also would explain why the box and manual is written in german ;)

Didn't know the AR was rare that's like all we had in sweden :p
Still have mine with box and all (thought the box is not in mint condition any longer =/ )

    More mahjong games...

    From top right to bottom

    Club 90s - Nichibutsu
    Mahjong Shikiku - Nichibutsu
Pleased about this as I got it for 3000 Yen, it normally sells for around 12,000 Yen for no good reason.
    Mahjong Ikaga Desuka - Mitchell
    Ejan Sakura Shou - Seibu
Has a intel 386DX-25 processer on it... first time I saw that used on an arcade board.

    More normal stuff
    Puyo Puyo Sun - N64
Bought as was cheap, but still can't get me to go and buy an N64...
Madou Monogatari A - Game Gear
    Densha De Go! 3 - Playstation 2
Finally can use the controller now and boy is the controller good, didn't know it vibrated to simulate the track movement. :)

Various collector cards, some from Puyo Puyo 2 and the others from a 1999 Shinseisha collector card set featuring various video game women.

As far as I know the Xploder was called Xplorer in the US and maybe some other countries.

It's easy to find many AR clones here, like Activator, Bootmaster and so on. But the original Datel device is hard to get, but not much worth.

Further indulging my passion for sims, I recently got myself some minty copies of:
Gran Turismo Concept 2002 Tokyo Geneva
    Tokyo Bus Guide (original release)
    Train Simulator Keisei Toei Keikyu
along with a used, but minty condition:
    Train Simulator Yamanote

Along with the Yamanote sim, came this, possibly the biggest PS2 compatible train controller, ever...

    Not bought much this week...

Empty Playstation 2 Box (was free)

Valis Cross (Windows) - A Valis game that even Yakumo won't buy. Basically a Telenet licenced adult choose and click game, featuring all your favourite characters from Valis and some tenticles too.

Super Real Mahjong PIV + 4 Player Mahjong (Windows 3.1) - Was nice and cheap but can't play it as it only wants to work with Windows 3.1J... :(

Side Pocket (Gamebouy) - Love this game, you wait ages for a game to show up and then a shop decides to get 4 copies in...

Bought an N-Gage QD for £35 including Fifa 2004.

Also picked up a SNES import adapter for 99p and Mass Destruction for the Sega Saturn for the same price.

That's one hell of a controller! Makes the Wii one look tinny. How heavy is it?

    Not that anyone cares... :crying:

But today I bought a SRM pencil board
Mirage - Mitchell - Arcade Mahjong game.
Puyo Puyo Tsu - Sega - Arcade games, was very cheap.
Hang On - LCD Game, None of the fun of the hit arcade game.
Famicom TV Controller - Now I'll be able to change channels with a decent remote. Might program it to turn off TVs where Wiis are connected too.
Pocket Pikachu - B&W version of the pikachi pedometer...
Galaxian - Keyring Electronic Game - Nice double LCD game.
Densha De Go (Ver 1) - Electronic Game - All aboard... has an inbuilt motor to simulate the movement of the train. :)
Pocket Baseball - Electronic Game - Absolute garbage, like wii baseball in terms of hit ball auto catch, run, etc... the speech makes the speech on 8bit home computers sound great.
Hikouhata de go - Electronic Game - Take off, fly, increase spped, go up, land... has some nice speech but quite boring as you only fly in one direction...

Some lovely Retro buys today with Dragon's Revenge, Tengen's wank unofficial follow up to Technosoft's amazing conversion of Devil Crash. In fact I'm very surprised this got a release in Japan. Arrow Flash, a classic little shooter by Sega and Twinkle Tale, yet another classic little shooter with quite a cult following. Finally there's Marica on the Saturn.

Yeah Jamtex keep it up - you are not alone with liking mahjong. But to be honest I don't quite love it as much as you seem to!
