That's a steal for just £15! Why don't you have a go at RGB modding it? Also if you already have a PAL N64, you can use the PSU from that, as the DC secondary volts are the same.

I found it on GUMTREE posted under this

    Gumtree.com ad #31380807: Nintendo 64, three controllers, 6 games + rumble pack (£30 ono)

I only spotted it about a week or two after it was posted and asked if it was still available, he said it was and I offered him £20, he said £30 was as low as he would go. I blagged that he did say ono and it was for my son and he had £20 left from christmas. He then had 2 possible people interested and he would let me know. A week or so later I contacted him again and he had those 2 people not collect so I could have for £20

I went to collect with Owen (my son) in tow and he got it all out of his cupboard where he had a Wii/PS3/360 and loads of games so I knew he was pretty genuine. He said he would show it all working, but I said it was OK and if a problem I would call him (as very local)

He insisted to show it to me as it would only take 5 mins.....so out it all came.......said it was a Japanese model...........huge stepdown , game converter.........and he couldbn`t get it to show on his Samsung LCD, despite using a scart and the Y/R/W component type leads. Then he said oh yes needs the PAL Booster, but then didn`t have the AC Adapter for it.

As Owen was sitting with me with his £20 in his hand, he said if you want it for £15 as it was.......................so I said OK I could get the adapter for about £5 anyway.

    So bargain city!!!!

I wasn`t overly worried about it not running on a TV as I had had problems trying to get 2 PAL machines running on TV`s at home and it all powered up..............and was all boxed..........so no reason not to worry about it....................now just got to try and get it to run like my PAL ones

Will probably sell it on as I am sure I will make a nice profit

Dracon I would not recommend you use plastic for the pcb storage, it can cause static problems. I would use wood...

Both been opened but as only got late last night haven`t tried, pretty sure they don`t work, but may have a go at doing some modding myself and if I cock it up who cares!!

I thought they had standard screws, but look like some kind of Allen/Hexagon key :-(

You can get away with using a flathead, just find the right size.
Turn them on and see what happens, if there's no power at all it's as simple as replacing the PSU.

Otherwise it will give you an error code, either on the light at the front or on the screen if it displays.

More PS1 dev stuff has arrived:

    [IMG][IMG][IMG]
    • DTL-H2500 PCI and daughter card
    • Matching controller and A/V cable
    • DTL-H2510 internal CD-ROM drive
    • DTL-S2320 Runtime Library Disc V4.0
What's particularly nice is that someone at either the carrier or customs seems to have screwed this up, in a positive way (for me :110:). The packet got the usual green sticker denoting that it must be delivered to the customs office, instead of to the recipient. Luckily that didn't work and it arrived right on my doorstep :icon_bigg. It even had the customs notification (which is to be send to the recipient to notify him that a packet is waiting) still attached, indicating that customs really was about to hold it back. Saved me quite a nice amount of VAT .

I can see why you're happy not having paid VAT on this, it has a "lingjr" look!

One of these plays music cd`s but not games.....sounds like it is not reading them...............any ideas or possible easy fix

The second one has a red ring :) and comes up with standard format something like "call service centre".............again any ideas to an easy fix?

Well found this for the one with call service centre

    http://www.llamma.com/xbox/Repairs/10-12.htm

    Call Customer Service 10-12
Your xbox is having difficulty communicating with the DVD drive. Most often replacing the DVD drive will resolve the issue.
1 Check the IDE cable connection
2 Replace IDE cable with a known good one
3 If above do not solve the problem replace the drive

PM replies probably better than posting here ;-)

Controller end looks pretty normal. A nice find, looks like one of those saturns is a debugger, wish I'd seen these earlier you could have a bidding war.
