    Hello, can I ask for one too? I would like to help test the PSIO. I do have a SCPH-7501 for sure. I have to dig through boxes but I mght also have a SCPH-5001 too.

    Anyway I have good soldering skills and I have the necessary gear to debug on hardware level:
    - 100 MHz ocsilloscope
    - Open Bench Logic Sniffer (logic analyser)
    - Waveform generator
    - Bus pirate and other various other tools.

    Just PM me!

    Thanks

    Glad this thread seems to have moved on from bickering unto potentially interesting developments. Will be watching.

    So I'm guessing by now some money has changed hands. Anyone care to share the progress of their order?

    It's being built and all the bits and pieces being ordered, should be in my hot little hands within one month.
    Mark your calendars and stay tuned! :encouragement:

    I wonder how hard it would be to build one. A (censored)* build log would be awesome :p

    * Maybe hide the ic number and watermark it ?

    Why hide the IC number? that makes little sense, its not too hard to figure out the chip anyway.

    Also, they already posted a build log on their forums.

    small details that would help would be, keep the ps1 open showing no disk drive, a proper screen, the camera staying in one position, and either the psios menu working or the computer thats loading the code in visual of the camera oh and also show off loading a multi disk game if you can.

    1.3 mpx will be fine, just set it in a relatively centered well lit area

    unless RJ would rather record it

    Curious to know who recorded the first few videos if no decent camera was available?

    Aaaaaand I've just figured out how those original videos are probably fake.

    Video 1 - You can hear the keyboard being used to control the character and you can see the hands using the keyboard in the TV reflection...why not use the controller?
    Video 2 - The controller never moves from its original position.

    Explanation please.

    Seriously, those people who have handed over money. I'd reclaim it and request one more video with that controller being used and the back of the TV/monitor being spun around to show what's plugged in and what's not.

    I wanted to change my attitude and give this a fair shot so I watched both videos again and I'm 99% certain those games are being controlled by a keyboard, turn the volume up to max and listen carefully. Also in the Klonoa video, look in the TV reflection, you can see hands on the keyboard controlling the game.

    Perhaps some kind of keyboard control has been implemented into PSIO but I think someone needs to explain that. I was suspicious of the oddly filtered look of the games as they were but now I'm really suspicious. I'm beginning to suspect there's been a pause emulation button mapped to the keyboard to simulate the slow loading times.

    as i see, video generates new questions.

    i don't see any reasons to make fake.

    in first version of firmware of Psio , games had been loaded from pc by usb. we told about that. so speed was not fast. but it was in the past...

    now it loads game from SD card, and pc only sets base address of image.
    but in future OS will make all it need.

    That video was recorded by the Australian guy. Sorry but what I hear are buttons NOT keys in video 1, and I can tell the difference. I also don't see hands on a keyboard in the TV reflection. What controller in the 2nd video would never move? I don't think it's ever shown in the first place. What's amazing is these "questions" are not coming up on the PSIO forum, where one would think antsy supporters would be out with pitchforks, only here.... This would be the most elaborate, time consuming hoax I've ever seen. Not worth it.

    This is what I think too. Really if this would be a hoax then this would be the most retarded hoax ever, this would have no chance of working ( as a mean of making money ).

    So you're saying you can tell the difference...well so can I, so who is right? There's no way in hell a PS1 controller can make that much noise and there's also no way a playstation can anti-alias polys like that either.

    The controller is shown in the second video.

    I'm not saying its definitely a hoax, but I'm just fascinated by the questions that don't get answered and the required proof that doesn't get shown. Especially when there's money currently involved.

    If I had made this I'd be whoring out every picture and video I could make to really show off how it's done...and that can even be done without giving away any secrets.

    So far this thread has gone from 2 videos with a lot of un-answered questions to a shit storm and then to asking for money for test devices.

    The one person who has paid (there may be others who haven't said so publicly) has said that the parts are ordered and his device will be with him in a month, if it were me I wouldn't have handed over a cent until I was certain something was going to turn up.

    As I've said many many times I do hope this is real and I'll happily eat my words but why the hell aren't some basic questions being answered?

    If they could shoot a video back then, why not now? I'd wanna see them laying out all the parts I'd receive, putting it all together and showing how it all works. There are just too many blanks here.

    It would be a retarded hoax BUT, some elaborate tech speak and a few circuit boards and fancy stickers costs nothing if you think you might get 25 people coughing up $80 for test devices.

    A lot more has been done for a lot less.

    I'm still sitting on the fence with this, I'm just not presently convinced.

    I have said in this post that I don't believe it's being controlled with a PS1 pad. If it were my project I'd have a video up here already proving me wrong...that's all I'm saying, but I'm gonna bow out of this now and just sit back and wait. Hopefully I'll be wrong and everyone involved will get an apology but until I see evidence this doesn't have my approval or trust.

    Not that my opinion matters but this a discussion board after all.

    endless loop , like

    ...
    int i;
    while (Twimfy_doubts)
    {
    reply = why(i);
    i++;
    }
    ...

    "const int Twimfy_doubts = 1;" if so , he never called the method "why()"; but we see another picture))
