    Sorry for the double post.

but I just bought this. Found is super-cheap in a 1000yen-joblot on Yahoo along with four other Yuukyuu shovelware games.

I have been looking for this motherfucker for about THREE YEARS (about every 4 weeks I've searched all Yahoo, but still) and this is the FIRST copy I've EVER seen for sale. It will probably lack the spinecard since it's neither on the picture nor was it mentioned in the description, but maybe I'm lucky.

Does anyone else but Madroms own this game or have more information on it? It must have had a ridiculously low printrun considering the "limited edition" version is one of those 50yen-shovelware games and the regular print is probably among the top three of the rarest commercially released Saturn games. :-0

I own it as part of the Yuukyuu Gensoukyoku Hozonban Perpetual Collection if that counts.

Hmm I have one but I suppose that's the common version. I'd have to check.

I do too, but sorry, that doesn't really count :p

The Hozonban collection is limited to 10.000 units if I recall correctly. Not sure how many copies the original run of Yuukyuu Gensoukyoku got, but it must have been very low. This, or the company decided to call them back and distribute only Genteiban-editions of the game because there were no extra-costs involved anyway.

Because it's "JUST ANOTHER" dating sim most people don't care about its rarity and it'll never appear in Super Potato's glass shelves or as an overpriced game on ebay/Yahoo. I guess if you find it, it'll be in a set like mine or Madroms's. I think I remember him telling me he bought it as part of a big bundle, maybe I'm wrong.

I still can't seem to understand why the hell they'd turn a limited edition to a shitty 50yen-bundle game and the actual regular release is so scarce, it takes ages to find even in average condition.

Hmm, I bet that over the years I've had this game in my hands but let it go thinking it was one of the many other Yuukyuu Gensoukyoku titles. That series has always confused me

I guess it must be much easier to track down in Japan where there are probably many copies hidden in huge stacks of always the same dating sim games. Still, I couldn't find one when I was in Japan and I carefully looked for it literally in every store I entered >_<

It's easy to distinguish from the regular edition because the logo is at the bottom of the cover instead of on top like all the other YG-games.
The only other game with the Yuukyuu-logo at the bottom is ensemble 2:

That's not rare though. Which version do you have by the way? There's the single disc version and the double disc version. Both games are pretty much the same when it come to the racing sexction but the double disc release features a making of the video sections plus it's MPEG card compatable :)

Back when I was a hardcore Saturn collector the games that were the hardest for me to find were Crows: The Battle Action for Sega Saturn (complete w/ obi strip and reg. card) and Blast Wind (in any form, gah!).

Thankfully a nice fellow at shmups.com sold me his mint Blast Wind for $30. Don't recall how much I paid for Crows though when I finally found it.

Incidentally, Blast Wind was one of the very few gems I kept when I sold off the Saturn collection. To this day it is my favorite shooter, just edging out the glorious Radiant Silvergun.

    Edit:
Wow, I did not realize this was an old thread... I just clicked on it from the main forums list...
