The PS1 power glove wouldn't be classed as a 'system' for a start, more an accessory?! You also just bumped a thread that's 6 years and 1 week old...
Interesting read of things that have consistently remained rare over the years. I think the Resident Evil red PAL 360 will be rare one day....
The custom RX-78 Dreamcast has 2 units without serial number at the back. Dreamcast S.T.A.R.S is in fact limited to 221 pieces since Famitsu gave away 20 units for a contest. The 20 units doesn't have any serial number at the back. I owned both and still own one without serial number , excepted the lack of serial number i didn't check any differences between them. About the Maziora , 200 units are signed , these have been gave way for a contest organized by Taira Racing team. The 300 others were given away through D-Direct and sent in a specific box. I should suddenly stop blogging but you could find the complete conception story and detailed content of it here : http://spinzshowroom.com/deballage-dreamcast-maziora About the subject itself , i don't think there is any system that can pretend to be the rarest but prototypes like M2 3DO (one unit sold last year on YAJ) and Neptune are terribly wanted. Some still does not have any official release informations like Coca-Cola Dreamcast (i have been looking for many years to get any info about it but found nothing even from japanese side). Also , there are often some systems difficult to find with their boxes like Sega Aiwa (the last one i have seen has been sold over than 80 k yens without box and instructions) The next-gen era has released some unik models like custom Bayonetta or more recently custom Final Fantasy XIII Ps3 and Xbox 360.
What about a working Entex Adventure Vision or a Bandai Vectrex/"Kousokusen"? I reckon these are pretty rare... if we just talk about system that have been released and sold in stores other than the M2 or other prototypes/dev hardware. The Asian Multi-Mega is really hard to find, too.
Someone sold one unit on YAJ for 150 K , 2 days ago ^^ There is also some kind of boom about Korean hardware.
Do you mean unused (ie, pristine, bags still intact etc)? CIB is still kinda common, even if you want the bags (so long as your cool with them being opened.
CIB is not common at all my friend... extremely hard to find a CIB Samsung Saturn or Samsung MD and I've never seen an unused one, ever. @Spinz Yeah, that was actually the first time I ever saw one for sale ^^ Unfortunately I was on a friends' computer and didn't save the pictures, do you still have the link by any chance? 150k, that's crazy! I saw it 1 day before it ended and it was only 20k.
Here it is Already added to my archives pics ^^ http://page16.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/u42731898
Holly shit! An NTSC Multi Mega! I've seen the PAL one before in the same box for use in Asia but nver an NTSC Asian version.
Nah, the Kitty Dreamcasts are pretty common and the Divers aren't as rare as some make out. Not common but not ultra rare. It's said that only 200 divers were made but I doubt that. My mate Eric had a set of 20 still factory boxed brand new units.
dc hello kitty are not rare : 1500 blue and 1500 pink are made the xbox hello kitty is more rare : 550 are made : it's juste a skin but with official box : i have one unit : Uploaded with ImageShack.us
