I didn't realize we were making a list....but anyway the Epoch Cassette Vision Jr Epoch Super Cassette Vision Lady Edition Casio PV-1000 (far more rare than the Loopy) Gakken Tv-Boy Compact Vision Fm Towns Car Marty Sharp Famicom Titler (this should be a lot higher on the list) there are more too, but Im tired (two finals today)
1) Master system exists...(i have the blue one) 2) I mean "Electrolab Supervision" and not "Watara Supervision"... is that one uncommon too? MatÃas
The FM Towns Car Marty is more common than the HiSaturn Navi and CPS changer by quite a margin, it's not even what I'd consider rare, except as compared to the normal Marty, which is rare compared to the FMTowns computers... The Famicom Titler isn't even remotely rare, I've personally owned five of them. The Loopy is similarly common, I could pick up ten of these without significant effort. I recently sold one for a whopping fifteen bucks (with 3 boxed softs); its relative rarity sure hasn't translated into VALUE. =( It should be noted also that the 'Master System III' is a 3 in name only, it has the same shape and function as the MS2, except for a different case colour and a whack of built-in games. It doesn't qualify as rare IMO 'cause it's readily available in teh brazil. And then, what about PC Engine clones? There's these ugly PAL white shuttles and I've seen (in magazines but never for real) CoreGrafx clones... And then, if we'd even consider clones such as the Car Marty and MasterSystem 3 then we'd have to consider the Vistar, and then there's the PAL TurboGrafx... How about the Asian MultiMega (CDX)? or the Bandai Vectrex? Or Gundam RX-78, or is that counted as a computer? Also consistantly missing from the list is the Samsung Saturn... [edited 5x for bonus value]
No, it´s similar to Watara Supervision, but the only difference is the trademark. If i found a pic, i will post it... MatÃas
PC-FX maniac, If you're looking for gamate stuff, check ebay often, search Germany and Northern Europe. Seems they were more common there, also Australlia where you could get them in the mid 90's for less than five bucks. NFG, if you could get me a Loopy for under $50 I would glady make it worth your while. PM me if you're interested. Still don't think we should count clones, unless it is the "rarest" of the rare.
Yup, that's where I got mine. At one time they were so rare their existance was mere rumor, suddenly... They're everywhere! Still I only know two people who have 'em for sure, me and a collector in the UK. You drop me a note, I'm lazy. There's one near me with, I think, 4-6 games.
Ok, we are not counting clones, prototypes, or dev units. Anything esle :smt017 So far, we have a pretty good list going. Still need to make it work though. (we still need tree more consoles and we need to put them in order)
I will attempt to create the list so far: 1) Super A'can 2) Daewoo Zemmix 3) HiSaturn Navi for the other two I nominate Gakken Compact vision, and RDI Halycon
I think i have to catch up on some reading 90% of all the mentioned systems are totaly new to me :smt040
Good Start Hawanja, so this is what i have 1. RDI Halcyon 2. Super A'Can 3. HiSaturn Navi 4. Daewoo Zemmix 5. Gakken Compactvision 6. Adventurevision 7. Capcom CPS Changer 8. Bandai TV Jack-8000 9. Casio PV-1000 10. Epoch Super Cassettevision Jr. If anyone wishes to change the order feel free to coment :smt023
You'd better. That's two already - if you do that one more time.... :smt027 ;-) I'm not sure if this counts, as it's not a unique hardware variation, but does anyone remember the Game Girl? It came out here in the states at least around Christmas when the GB had been out for a few years. It was all pink and marketed, obviously, to young girls.
Don't worry Greatsaintlouis, i got you little ninja covered... :snipe: :smt023 As for the Gamegirl, i do remember seeing that, but it didn't last very long. There was also a special edition Gameboy pocket, i think it was the ice edition or something like that but i can't remember :smt017
Why does the HiSaturn Navi count (A Saturn clone with extra features) but the Vistar (A TG clone with extra features) does not? In that case what about the Zemmix, it's just an MSX. The Halcyon should be at the top of the list, there's practically none in circulation, the production run was ridiculously miniscule and most of those were recalled 'cause they didn't sell. Conversely the PV-1000 isn't rare at all, anyone who wants one could get two from me by the end of the week. Common as dirt (but somewhat obscure dirt!). This is rapidly spiralling out of control, IMO - we might as well make a list of the coolest consoles ever made, it'll be about as scientific. That said the private-message system is broken and I can't read the message I was sent. Whoever wants a PV-1000, Loopy or other freaky console should email me from this page
I edited the list, you are right. Since the Hi Saturn Navi is a clone I replaced it. The MSX, however, is a computer and the Deawoo Zemmix is a console, so it stays (it is the same as the Amiga CD32, a Commodore 64GS, Amstrad GX4000, and the FM Towns Marty. All of them have computer versions, but they are considered consoles not clones.) I put the Halcyon at the top of the list and I added the Intertron VC-4000. :smt023 I had to change the list again, if you want to see it go to page tree, but i think this one is final.
NFG, that was me. Just wondering if you could get me a Casio Loopy. I'll e-mail you later. GSL, what is a game girl? Was that a special edition Gameboy? Never heard of it. Maybe we should have two lists, one for originals and one for clones. As Navi Saturn is really rare it deserves recognition someplace. Intertons aren't that rare as you can find them on Ebay pretty easy. Maybe another example of a console which is rare only outside it's country of origin. So we should try to get a list of consoles that are rare everyplace, and if a clone or special edition is also rare in it's country of origin then it should be included. Also, Laseractive should be on the list as those things are like gold. Also Bandai Telebiko, how rare is that?
Another rare console is the "Astroboy Game boy color", i think there are less than 100 around the world... Hawanja, i think the game girl is the SMS 3 compact pink version, if i´m not wrong...or maybe there are another machine which name is like that... MatÃas
NFG: SQL error? If so, hit the back button on your browser, then read it again. You should be able to read it. It's been like that for me, but I'm too lazy to whine about it. If you're throwing clones/special editions out there, Biohazard STARS Dreamcast is definitely up there. Only 200 made.
