I thought the Hi-Saturn Navi is an official licensed product from Sega? At least the Hi-Saturn from Hitachi is official (Hitachi provided the main CPUs of the Saturn to Sega, in turn they could market their own versions of the Saturn hardware). If the BioHazard STARS Dreamcast counts, then the blue-colored Sonic Team Dreamcast should we rarer. At least you can buy the BioHazard DC in Japan, but the Sonic Team DC was only given out as prizes in Europe. On top of that, it has Yuji Naka's signature on it. How about the GameBoy Pocket Light, is that rare? It's the first official Nintendo GB with backlit, way before the GBA SP!!
take the VC4000 off the list, it is not hard to get at all...you just need to be able to speak german...I don't know for sure (since I don't live in japan) but I think the Tomy Pyu-Ta Jr is rare...it sure was a pain for me to get...also, not so rare as HTF is the Hanimex 7900... NFG if you have a boxed PV-1000 I'd be very interested in it.
I sweart, PC-FX Maniac, you and I deserve a reward for totally blowing the whole signin thing.... :Hangman:
konami drawning board console Last time i was in japan as exchange student.i have buy an console television drawning board.that work on cards.its from konami. And here is the pic i have make of it: http://home.kabelfoon.nl/~agristar/konamiconsole.JPG it costed 80 euro ^^ i cant find information about it on internet.Maybe its rare ^^
That's just a Konami branded Pico (normaly by Sega) It's not that common but not that rare either. Yakumo
Let's see: 1. Yakumo that's not a Pico as far as I know, it uses different media but is similarly named: Picno. It's not rare or valuable in my experience. 2. I have no boxed PV-1000. 3. The HiSaturn Navi is a legit console, PCFX's complaint is it's not DIFFERENT enough. It's based on an existing platform (Saturn in this case). 4. The GB Light isn't rare. At all. 5. That is all.
Ok, I am going to say this once and thats final. The rarest videogame system is getting way out of hand, so i am going to try and save it. But first i would like to get something out of the way. It is extremely hard to do a rarest videogame system because we all live in different parts of the world. Considering the fact that where i live a 3DO i considered rare, then everything on that list are legendary holy grails. They are all rare to me. They may not be rare to someone living in Japan, but i dont live in Japan, so they are rare. Where i live if it is not Gamecube, XBOX, Playstation 2 or Gameboy, then it is rare. Yes, even the "all mighty" Sega is considered rare. For instance, i was talking to a boy who had a Game Gear, anothe kid came up and said, "Wow whats that?" The boy Said, "It is a Sega Game Gear". Then the other kid said, "Wow i did not know that sega made videogame systems, is it new" and the other boy replied, "no, it is actually pretty old". I am not making this up. So, while a Loopy, or PV-1000, or whatever else may not be rare in Japen, it is rare in the US, and it is like gold where i live. But there are also American only systems that are hard to come by in Japan. I bet you can't just go to any shop in Japan and get a Cannel F, a Studio II, or an Arcadia 2001 (and i am talking about the original not the countless clones.) and if you can then i was wrong, but i highly doubt it because those systems did horrible in America and they didn't last long so i doubt they would try to sell in Japan. Now with that said I would like to introduce something that has already been brought up. Hawanja made a great point. We should make a list for each area. Rare consoles in Europe, USA, Japan, and any other place (that is if you want). Also, you want to make a list of special editions, go right ahead. How about clones, sounds hard but you can do it. Oh, and for all of you who were wondering what a Gamegirl is, it was a special edition GameBoy marketed toward girls. I think it came with a Barbi and Rugrats game but i am not to sure. Also, i think it only came out in America. It did not do to well, so naturally it did not last that long. Now, that should do it :smt023
Hey, i never said that the Hi Saturn was not different enough. Someone else complained that we should not allow clones. it was on the original list, then you said it should not have been on there.[Why does the HiSaturn Navi count (A Saturn clone with extra features)] Those are your words. I changed the list because of what you said. Want me to put it back on, fine. But please don't put words into my mouth. I have been reading all of the responses and have been doing my best to make everyone happy. lets just hope my above post will fix everything.
Well, I think that if a console was/is rare in it's country of origin, it should be on the list, as in you want a Bandai TV jack 8000 but you can't even find those in Japan, or an Andevturevision but you can't find those in the USA, that kind of thing. But yeah, there should be seperate lists for Original consoles and clones/special editions, else the list will be all clones/special editions. Also, if we could get some info, as in how many of each console was produced/sold, then we could make the list a little more scientific. I suppose that kind of thing shouldn't be that hard to reasearch. So the lists so far: O.G. consoles: 1) RDI Halycon 2) Super A'can 3) Deawoo Zemmix 4) Adventurevision 5) Gakken Compactvision 6) Capcom CPS 7) Bandai TV Jack 8000 8) Epcoh cassettevision and possibly 9) Laseractive 10) Casio PV -1000 / Ecpoch Game Pocket Computer For the Clones/special Eds list, that's a tough one. By definition they are usually produced in small quantities anyway, so until we get some data I'll just be talking out of my ass. So here's my guess: 1) Kanal-34 (not sure if we should count this) 2) Gamate Color 3) Personalized Dreamcast (the one that was the prize) 4) Sonic Dreamcast 5) Hi Saturn Navi 6) Hae Tae Vistar 7) Car Marty 8) Cassettevision Girl 9) Splicevision (rare outside Brazil, how about inside?) 10) Virtuafighter gamegear/ His and her Lynxes Just a guess.
I'd say: Halcyon Pioneer Seed Japanese Vectrex Bandai Gundam Sega AI (purely based on production and not as a special color or theme unit) There are plenty of one of a kind theme units.
You'll grow another dick before you find one of these. I'd pay about $2000 for one of these as a set. Looks like SEED wins.
The only thing I could find was a page in french that mentioned something to do with this and the Sega SG 1000. Any more info? I guess this is #1 on the list.
Got a pic of the Bandai Gundam. I did a search on google and all i got was stuff about action Figures.
