Yes, it is a pretty good read, but the information you have contributed is valuable. I know there are errors in the list, that is why i have asked for opinions. Also, anyone can make a list for there own area. I, and this is the important part, so all you people out there who have been calling my list incorect and stupid, am making a list for the USA. So, people who know about console rarity in the US, help me out by giving me you opinions. I will do some research if i don't know the console, and i will update if needed. :smt023
Well a list for europe shouldn't be to hard everything not mainstream is basicly rare, like a 32x that's pretty rare arround here hell even a megacd 1 is pretty rare. Europe sucks bigtime when it comes down to game systems if it wasn't mainstream like a snes, nes, megadrive or playstation it's rare :Hangman:
True, allthough I've heard from people in the us (not sure about asia) that the commodore line of consoles, C64GS, CDTV and CD32 are pretty rare in the us, where I do come across those three from time to time here in Denmark. I'm pretty sure C64GS were not released outside of Denmark and England (some say germany got it too, but I don't think so) Actually it is also pretty rare in Denmark.. Did I ever tell you how my girlfriend found the C64GS for me? :smt040 I'll post that story sometime in the 'unbelievable deals' thread..
gold game gear Actually I remember reading an old EGM that talke about a special Gold Plated game gear being released I think in the U.K. They even have picture of it, sadly I threw that and some other old issues away awhile ago. It looked pretty nice too.
True, he is one of us now :smt043 To tell the truth, when i noticed a guest posted, I thought it was Can_Dude :smt040
I know it's a quite old thread, but I just want to state that the C64GS definately was released officially in Germany. I saw some in local Quelle and Kaufhof stores back then. There were several games released on module like Shadow of the Beast, Navy Seals, Super Sprint and some others. These games were also officially avaiilable.
Sayin999 - I used to have that issue of EGM back in the day... I will raid through my magazines, to see if it's still there. What was that GG worth, some, um... 75,000 pounds? Also, it had diamond incrustations on the pad's buttons, too. THAT's a RARE and expensive piece of hardware.
Wouldn't surprise me. WHO would buy THAT machine? If it was an april issue, then it probably was. I remember, for sure, that the pic was there, fake or no fake.
I'd say the RDI Halcyon. I've been looking for one of those for years. Too bad only two games were made for it. It's basically a big expensive laserdisc player, but I love those kind of games. http://www.handheldmuseum.com/Misc/RDIHalcyon.htm Tempest
:angry :smt022 Are you f'n kidding me!!?!?!? That's what that was!? Unless they got thrown away when I moved I still have a catalog that would have it in there. I can't believe I didn't buy any, I even bought a multimeter from them at that same time, and remember thinking to myself "I don't know what that is; I don't have enough money to be wasting it on mystery crap I don't need." Ouch, you my brain hurt. :-(
