If they're seriously selling games for this thing on cards, one on each card, then that's a pretty grand LOL. Hmmm...if I wanna play Neo Geo games on the go, do I buy this thing and buy games separately, or do I get a PSP and just emulate them all? Tough choices...

It has internal games right? Most likely will be able to flash your own ROMs some how ;p

Main Selling point is The dock that looks like an AES

Will I buy this? I've been thinking of it but I think I'm going to wait a bit before I do

If someone hacks this thing it will be for the rep. and nothing else: these days even lame phones can emulate the AES

In fact, a Chinese Android phone that can do that would probably cost less than this...hell, throw in an iControlpad so you can actually play them and you'd probably still spend less money than you would for this thing.

I'd rather get a Pandora or GP2X that can play Neo Geo + other "classic" systems very well - they seem a better value,

I put in an order for one through Gamestop. It was quite the experience. I ordered it, was told about a free shipping code, canceled the order to reorder, got an email on the reorder, but nothing showed up in my Order History. I call their customer service and told them about it. According to them, there was a glitch on the reorder and it didn't go through. So I tried ordering again all throughout the next day, only to be told that I've reached my "limit" and my shopping cart has been "emptied". Nice. So I call back customer service after 2 days of trying to reorder, then I'm told to wait longer than 24 hours to try again because it may be setting off something since I'm trying to order it so frequently, so I wait 4 days, try to reorder once again, no luck again. Finally, I lose all hope, call them one last time, only to receive a very helpful person on the other end who put an order through for me and gave me the free shipping.

You buy one of these over emulation devices for the Neo Geo branding, clicky controls, and the docking station/stick combo included with the Handheld in the Gold package.

Man the game card concept is a turn off, however looking at flyer it seems that it might be just a standard sd card with a lable for the game and the game on the card itself.

for $200 you could buy an MVS and some games, not to mention the price of other games could get you more games. Dont buy this POS.

He did say MVS...if you spent $200 you wouldn't have much left to buy games with if you bought an AES.

Heh, I just thought this thing would have a better chance as a neogeo phone: like an xperia play but done right with a proper Dpad and good buttons.

You slide the screen back and its a mid-to-high end android phone, it could be big if SNK doesnt fucks it up

AES is for collectors. If you enjoy games buy an MVS and MVS carts, and maybe a AES to MVS converter incase theres any AES games that didn't get an MVS release.

I think it is cool that they are making cartridges for it. There is a casual group who will pick this up at Gamestop and still want software for it that don't have any knowledge of roms or downloading etc. Plus the collectors who will want to buy all the carts.

An AES runs from $150 (if you win an auction) to $295 on ebay. And the games run about $500 each unless they are very plentiful titles like Nam 1965. So for someone who has no access to a modded psp or a pandora type emulator handheld, the neo geo x is't that bad a deal. I'd argue that with android your playing with pure touch controls which is no way to play a game I think unless its diner dash.
