    Downloaded and watched.

Pretty good, as it's usual from Yakumo.

That playboy thing on the Saturn is just too much. Are there more titles like this one? Is it REALLY licensed?

Dezaemon on the 64 looks awesome, too.

I remember Pit Fighter for the arcade, and there's a Famicom version too, if I recall correctly. It's absolute shite. Was the arcade game any better? The Super Fami version you show looks pretty much as shite as it can be.

Whatever happened to Geist Force? It looks SOO damn sweet...

WolverineDK, not to worry. I won't be doing any features on how to draw manga and so on  Besides I can't draw to save my life. Thanks for you r comments too.

@XerdoPwerko, Yeah that Playboy karaoke disc is 100% Sega licensed. Sega didn't really seem to give a crap about porn on the Saturn but for some reason games like Steam Hearts were toned down for the Saturn version. I have no idea if there are more of those Playboy discs but I wouldn't put it past VicTokai to have released more than just one volume.

Pit Fighter was shit in the arcades I think but compared to the SFC version it's a masterpiece. As for Geist Force, you can blame Sega US for that or so the story goes. They say that the playability wasn't up to their standards yet there were loads of shite games released. Politics!

Hmmm I even remember pitfighter on the Amiga, and well there is wasn´t that bad, but well it was worse than MK 1 and 2, and SF2 on the Amiga. Anyway, pitfighter is a very mediocre, and bad beatemup, compared to lots of other beatemups, on the Amiga, Full Contact is much much better, than this eeky piece of shite.

Glad you liked it mate. Just working on Vol.22 right now. Also I found a clip that should have been on Vol.21 but I had totally forgotten about it so I'll add that to Vol.22 as well.

I remember when Pit Fighter was on arcades... It was a huge sucess. I remember PlayLand arcade at Barrashopping Mall having like 12 cabinets of it... and there were still lines of people waiting to play it.

Retro Core 22 is now available from www.archive.org for all those who would like to grab it before the official release date of July 10th (and save on stress to my FTP ) It only went up about 15 hours ago but it looks as if 9 people have already downloaded it.

Featured this month are the following

I am looking forward to review it :)

So I will review it later :)

the pc version of Daytona (the one I played long ago anyway) was the same as the "Saturn" version, but I haven´t played the Circuit Edition of the PC version, heck back then I had played some of SEGA pc games from pirate CD´s a mate had (sorry to write it down, when I am not even finished watching the retro core show yet) and well if you ever get intrested in reviewing the pc version Sega Rally, then it is the same as the Saturn version (well they look the same anyway) also that I played from a pirate disc long ago (no shame on me, since back then it was the norm anyway ). But if I remember right, there was also a rerelease of the Arcade version of Daytone some years ago , and that look brandspanking new, but still old (or perhaps the cabinets were just fitted with new screens and so forth, and the arcade board was the same as the old ones anyway).

Well I quite like the "80´s" heavy rock music, but it doesn´t fit to Daytona, in my mind anyway.

it was an ok to good show, and I really liked the MD shooter review, and the Daytona thing too, but what makes me wonder was , why did you put a poo into the SFA 2 GBC game ?

Since it wasn´t a shite of the month.

But as I said the reviews were good :)

But I am still strange when it comes to low resolution, but it is an ok show, but not your best anyway, and a funny thing I have encountered is, at leat two times through your review of games, you have had games featuring almost LEGO bricks in them, and if that is a "strange" thing anywa y (hidden commercial/Product placement ? ;-) ) anyway about your fighting games, well I am more an SFer than a VFér anyway :) and I prefer TEKKEN over Dead Or ALive any day of the week, but that is maybe because I prefer the "easy" fighting games, than the "tough" ones.

in fighting, I am more a person who thinks instinctively (be it virtual, or real) than a thinker, in fighting :)

But in RPG´s then I am a thinker (ok enough babble about that anyway).

An ok fine to good show , that is my mark in this review.

But low resolution, or high is nothing, when your show is good :) Ninja Warriors music is not gay, and how can music be gay anyway ? does music have a sexuality ? if music has a sexuality, then I think music is bisexual. And polyamorous at the same time.

By the way, I know I have mentioned the shite Danish gamezoneTV videogameshow on DK4 , and well since their language is so dumbarse Danglish, then you all can enjoy, or endure this site

    http://gz.tv/

Since it is so Danglish, that every bilingual person can get something out of the shitesite.

Ah, that GBC Street Fighter had the shite of the month logo by mistake. You know me, I was too lazy to re-encode the whole thing again with the GBC logo.

LEGO ??? What games had Lego in them? I did love the stuff as a kid though. Space Lego was always on display in my room

I can't stand Tekken at all. None of them are to my liking. Dead Or Alive is a no brains fighter but that doesn't make it total crap. Parts 1 and 2 are still pretty good fun.

I know it's not gay. I really like the tunes on Ninja Warriors Again. I think when people say things are gay in English, they just mean it's not manly or macho or some stupid crap like that.

thanks for your comments on the show. I'm sure you'll like volume 23 much better. That's looking really nice so far.

Yakumo: I think you have some problems with letters, and so forth, since I can see some graphical errors, and it is not coming from me. Pacmania has a kind of "LEGO" bricks in them, and I think I should go through the old RTC videos, to find the other games, with the kind of brick in them.

Well yakumo-sama , how can I say it... this is what I feel is the true "spirit" of the ASSEMbler board, when we help eachother with info, on games. And tell eachother about the games, so much positive stuff :)

I just finished watching number 22.

    Awesome, as usual.

I own Aero Blasters on PC Engine, and it's a great game, but it looks and sounds a hell of a lot better on the megadrive. I'll be on the lookout for that one.

Race Drivin' looks like the worst Shite of the Month game EVER. It really is fucking horrible. Good find. I like the new Shite intro, too.

Also, I'd love to get Ninja Warriors on the Super Fami.

    Great show.

Thanks for the comments guys !

I'd better point out that the new shite of the month intro doesn't consist of real shit in the toilet ! Unlike the 5 Emails I got from people thought  It's actually coffee which is why you can see bits of brown stuck to the toilet bowl as the water washes away. I don't have a dirty stained toilet

I was about to say, I always had the impression that japanese toilets are always clean. Did the misses get pissed over the coffee stains?

Finally after a long period of extended work, I am browsing Assembler's forum normally, well at least until August 3rd, but let me just say that Retro Core is still a wonderful show. I've downloaded Vol. 22 and enjoyed every second of it. I'll have to say the Daytona was my favorite part and the SOTM is definetely a bizarre game.

I'll now have to catch downloading those previous shows but it might be worth it. Keep up the good work!!.
