This has got to have been the bargain of the week! Newly listed on eBay for £50.00 BIN, I decided to splash out on it. Eventually, once working I will probably sell it, but I used to love this game!

Currently it is white screening (or blue in this case), so no video signal. Could be a simple repair, but at least the monitor is getting input so it's probably not a HUGE deal. (Famous last words!)

Yeah Super Hang-On and Manx-TT, both excellent titles. I've only had 1 shot of Manx TT and that was a long time ago now. Full sized, sit down version. I've just not got the space for something that large!

sit-down?more like "lean-over" :p it was an amazing feeling riding on that bike and taking corners, those were the days..right up there with the much more recent Episode 1 racer arcade game.

You're the one who said you'd pay him a tenner to ride his thing!

Parris, a bargain and no mistake! There's one on eBay US for $675

    Oh, and you're lucky:

    http://pdf.textfiles.com/manuals/ARCADE/A-J/Hang On [Schematics] [English].pdf

    Could be handy ;-)

Have you tested the monitor? IIRC, Hang-On is a bit of a bugger to get working out of the cab due to its weird loom!

Bugger, that PDF came back as 'Not found on server'. My iMac has been screwing up recently, but can you check the thread again and see whether the link is damaged and if so please post again!

Not tested it yet as it is still awaiting collection. Now the snow has arrived I am not risking it!

I was hoping it was going to be a straight connection and not some fangled nonsense!

As long as I can verify video output I would be happy.

    Oops! Fixed ;-)

Yeah, it's a unique one from what I remember. Somewhat like Out Run.

    Thanks! Grabbed!

I saw an auction on ebay.com for an Outrun / Hang On sound board, but the seller had no further information so I wasn't 100% sure whether it was the same set. Looks like it might be.

    Those edge connectors... oh pooh!

Still, if it all goes horribly wrong then I am only toying with £50 rather than $675 ! (wtf?)

Yeah, I just saw that board too. Was going to mention it. Might be worthwhile as spares, but shipping is a bitch. Plus, why would they have boards knowing full well what they're from but not knowing whether they work? Sounds like they probably won't. Oh, and you have a video problem, not sound ;-) hehe.

Well, Out Runs go for a fair old whack now. I remember one going locally about 7 years ago for £60 that I was outbid on last second. Damn!

    Oh, there's this, too:

The cheapest I have seen SR2 twin cabs is £700, plus about £180 transportation. At that price you can buy a single Ridge Racer V sit down, a Naomi 2 sit down cab (suitable for Initial D for example), or perhaps a few other more 'modern' classics.
