Okay, just as an update. Fabric dye has a steep learning curve. I don't have a lot of spare 3D parts to experiment. So far my test part look like crap. All I can say right now is that automotive vinyl dye is probably the most fool-proof way to go about it. The color selection is limited but using the product is very straight forward.

Helder and I are prepping for a very short run of Wii variant socket in both panel mount and full panel variety. We will not make a lot of these.

Here's mine installed in my top loader:

The switch is the palette switch for the NESRGB. Tim now includes a little ON-OFF-ON switch with the NESRGB and it just so happened to fit right between the multiout and power jack. I was a little afraid of drilling into the panel since it's 3D printed, but I didn't have any problems and the end result looks very nice.

Good to know a switch will fit there, but i'm doubting the dp3t switches I have will fit as the mechanism is prolly bigger than the new 'little' one you got. However there will be a switchless mod available soon from Tim that will use the controller buttons! Nice!

Ok I have 20 of the SNES style screw sockets come in today and will be available to buy starting right after I finish this post in the same thread as the other Full Mount Sockets.

I sure did not see that coming! I never imagine AV Famicom would ever need a replacement panel. I was under the impression that people only extract AV panel from broken system, otherwise wouldn't that make the AV panel cost $150+? Anyway, it's cool to know an AV Famicom gets a second lease on life.

As for the additional tabs and the bevel, these things weren't really considered before since the original intention was to focus solely on U.S. version. The tabs will surely add additional material cost for non AV Famicom users. While the bevel might offset that cost a bit, I noticed the bevel also takes a chunk of the structural wall needed for the screw to thread on.

I've seen people gut perfectly good or easily repairable AV Famis just for their back panels, stupidity knows no bounds.

That is cool indeed, I was looking to pick one of these toploaders but the prices are ridiculous but I might look into one of these Famicoms since they might be more price appropriate. Thanks for the video upload.

Actually I have a couple that were broken and were sent to me just to harvest the rear panel, but there's little that isn't easily fixed on these consoles, if the mobo was badly corroded then yeah toss it, but otherwise parts can be harvested from worse shape and less desirable front loaders.
Hopefully some day the uni ppu will come out and then a cpu as well, that will save tons of consoles. I have a baggie full of about 30 cpu's and ppu's that were KIA. Most were replaced with ones from a crap front loaders, but still...

No the screw didn't stick out from the bevel at all when all the way in, so no prob on having the bevel.
I wouldn't worry about adding the tabs really, I just happen to notice that they could be added and used on both consoles, but it's just not going to make a difference, the 2 screws holding it in now are sufficient.

The main reason ppl are sending me the av fami to rgb mod is so they don't have to pay me the $60 to instal a multi in a top loader, but i'm still modding more us top loaders than fami's and I would assume because it has a 72 pin connector.
With your 3D printed rear panel they can now have the best of both worlds for about the same cost in the end as av fami's sell for $150ish and us top loaders sell for under $60 if you buy one that's dirty or yellowed or untested etc.

You assume wrong. All sockets from here on out will be cheaper (not in strength) so the following will be the prices :

Screw Sockets SNES and Wii $15 plus the shipping

Full Mount sockets will be $30 plus shipping

If these don't move or garnish more interest then this might be our last public batch. It's not financially sound for me to sit on a bunch of stock that isn't moving and therefore I don't want to invest more of my money on something that is going to sit there for long periods of time. These price changes will take effect in a day or so when I get the batch of sockets including the Wii sockets.

Well I got new stock of the snes full panels as well as wii sockets and have these up for sale for anyone interested. The wii sockets might be a 1 time sale since interest in them is no where near as the snes style sockets.

If Tim ever gets the component add on board done the wii socket might be a better option for ppl wanting to do component than to use 3 rca jacks... Last I heard from him it would be a couple more months before it was ready though...
